Well, I was trying to decide if I should buy Settlers 7 Deluxe Gold on GamersGate for $12, even though I already have the base game, just to get the DLC. Then I noticed that the individual DLC packs are also on sale. So I pay a couple of bucks for packs 1,2 and 4. Wait, where’s pack 3? Oh, they have it, it’s just not on sale. $15 for DLC pack 3. I’m fairly sure Deluxe Gold comes with all 4 packs, so I guess I should have just ponied up the $12 to start with.

Just a cautionary tale, in case anyone else is looking to get the DLC.

It’s a good game that I enjoyed a lot, totally worth the price if you like 4X games, or if you enjoyed their previous games, the Imperium Galactica games.

It’s a 4x game? I played the first 2 or so missions, and it seemed rather like an RTS in space. If it develops into a 4x game later on, I might give it another go, though.

That’s what I’ve always seen it as. Their games are always real-time, but decidedly 4X in nature.
