I don’t reckon you will see much discount this winter sale on Saints Row 3, or Skyrim given the generally positive reviews so far.
Christmas / Winter for both products = launch of first round DLC at 10% off :-)
Green Man Gaming does have Skyrim for 10% off - http://www.greenmangaming.com/games/rpgs/elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-3-us/
I dont think GMG had Skyrim for pre-order? Potentially might not be region limited. I wish I knew they were getting it cos I would buy it in a flash if my physical copy was not winging its way from the UK to Australia.
Game is Steam enabled so just put the key into Steam.
Today marks the first day of the first two-week ‘Show Me The Sales’ promotion!
Hosted by the online indie game database at www.showmethegames.com, ‘Show Me The Sales’ is a collection of indie game developers who are each offering substantial discounts on their games over the next two weeks. Unlike any other games bundle or sale, SMTS is a collection of sales hosted directly by the developers, acting just as a directory of discounts, so you still buy the game direct from the individual developer, and the developer gets to keep all of the money.
Just to emphasise that, ShowMeTheGames takes NOTHING from any of the sales, or the developers.
The Show Me The Sales website is here:
http://www.showmethegames.com/sales.php
And it runs from 14th to the 28th of November. Games on discount include Scoregasm, Gratuitous Space Battles, SPAZ, project Aftermath and lots more. Plus, every game has it’s own youtube-embedded video for you to check them out.
Brian Rubin , Starscape! is it good?
http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-COMMANDER/commander is 60% off right now (2 Euros, £1.60, what is it in dollars?). Fun little tower defense game. Quite slickly done (I mean, except for a few typos). Tries to be a bit different from the standard TD game. Give it a try if you like the crazy 8bit graphical style. (I think the game is still in flux, because I noticed big changes today: new tutorial, different way of placing defenses, etc.).

It’s okay. It’s kinda like Space Pirates and Zombies, but less fun and a lot less deep.
Ah ok thanks , it looked good, but I will hold off.
Din’s curse and din’s curse demon wars on sale at gamersgate at 50% off (9.98 for din’s curse and 4.98 for demon wars) Is this game good and worth getting? Anyone tried the game before?

I own it (+ expansion), I am a big fan. It is one of my best purchases in the last couple years, I have put so many hours into it it’s silly. Very much worth the money if you aren’t a graphics whore. Try the demo and see if it’s for you.
I second what Kerzain said. It’s a shame bigger devs with grander art budgets don’t put out ARPGs of this caliber, but Din’s Curse’s gameplay completely transcends its production values.
I bought Din’s Curse at Impulse. Can I buy the expansion at gamersgate and get them to play together?

Yes, I bought the base game from Impulse, and the expansion straight from the dev. As long as Gamer’s Gate allows you to download the expansion as a stand alone file (instead of using some front end installer like Steam or something) you should be fine. Not having used Gamer’s Gate I don’t know their method of delivery, but the Impulse version, and the stand alone expansions should all work fine together.
Just make sure you don’t use the default install path for the expansion, because it won’t find your game there, it will be under the impulse-created folder called ‘indie games’ or some crap like that, in your program files folder.
Yes, and yes. It’s a wonderful game, likely one of the best Diablo-clonesque games I’ve ever played.

Yes, though you’ll have to take note of the install directories, they’re a little different.
And Din’s was my GOTY for 2010. Gave me that much fun.
I’ll give another enthusiastic recommendation for Din’s Curse.
How much does the expansion add?

A new class (with three distinct sub classes). A bunch of new Demon class monsters. Several new quests types, and new loot. A new game mode (town invasion mode, where you deal with many waves of invading creatures). And I can’t remember if this was in vanilla or if it an expansion thing, but now you can equip your town with armor through the Warmaster (or individually if you want to walk around doling it out.)
Or, as the site describes it:
* Play the Demon Hunter class (now 196 total class combinations)
* Fight many new demons (3 new species, 8 new types, 40 new variants)
* Solve tons of new quests
* Help the NPCs as they interact much more with the world and each other
* Experience many more world modifiers
* Explore new environments
* Interact with the world in new ways
* Survive the Demon War
* Basically experience a lot more of what makes Din’s Curse incredibly unique

I’d like to buy it, but Steam has spoiled me to the point where I resent having to buy the PC and Mac versions separately…

Well, it’s half off, so even if you buy both and you’ll still only be paying regular price.
That’s $1.80 too much if you ask me, although the Portal level is neat.

Bah, I just realized that I never actually downloaded the final version of Demon War, just the beta from preordering, and now my download link has expired. That’s cheap enough that I may as well just rebuy it, though.
