Unfortunately half of them don’t even say what game they’re from… among the list are Minecraft, ARES, Meatboy, and VVVVVVV. For $10+ you can get a few more with them. Should I have put this on the music board instead?

Tempted to jump in on the $30 BF3 at Origin, but it kind of seems like a trap. Since it’s not the “deluxe” edition, you need to buy the next expansion at $15, instead of getting it free.

I know that EA is trying to monetize their games more, but this really doesn’t feel like a discount as a way to rope more people into the game (believe me, I’m tempted, though).

GoG is running a ‘we just learned the word panoply and holy shit isn’t it cool’ promo. 50% off of games from each genre. The Divinity games, the Stronghold games, the Postal games (why?), the Simon the Sorcerer games and the first two Oddworld games. Which is unfortunate, considering how crazy cheap they were on Steam the other day.

I keep hoping for a pack with all GK games. I know they’ve done it at least twice. I should have taken advantage earlier! Boo!

I have never tried Civ IV, however looking at Steam and Impulse on Civ IV I see that
Steam has Civ IV complete pack for $16.72, however, Impulse has the same deal for $9.99.

Civ Iv: Beyond the Sword
Civ Iv: Colonization

My question is how fun is Fall from Heaven? You need Beyond the Sword right? And is $9.99 a really good deal for a complete Civ IV package?

I am pretty sure the Civ IV package was 5$ at some point in time, I’d wait to see the miracles of the Steam winter sale.

It’s amazing, I think - for me it’s the perfect mix of 4x and Fantasy TBS (a la Heroes of Might and Magic), and if you get into Fall From Heaven itself there are also a ton of modmods that add even more crazy civilizations and odd mechanics to the game. Plus most of the FFH mods bundle in the latest generic Civ 4 enhancement mods in with them, so the UI tends to be nicer than the base game. I’d easily spend $30 for Fall From Heaven by itself. I agree that I wouldn’t be surprised to see the price for the Civ 4 complete bundle fall later in the year, though (oh, and yes, you do need Beyond the Sword).

What’s the consensus on Eschalon Book II, Steam has it for $5.00 right now.

I like Indie games in general and really enjoyed Avadon, so if it’s close in quality it might be worth picking up.
