I agree in principle, but I’ve still bought GOG games because of sales.

I already own the retail versions of a big chunk of the RPGs on GoG. But whenever they’re on sale, I’ll usually pick up one or two just so I can have them on my recently acquired laptop without having to dig the discs up again. Could I get them otherwise? Of course, their prices are already pretty low but if I don’t necessarily NEED to have them RIGHT NOW, why not wait for a sale?

Besides, my money printing machine is in the shop and until I get it back, my wife will keep clipping those coupons, and I’ll keep buying my toys on sale - those savings do add up.

I love you too.

But you don’t even know me, and I’m not drunk enough for this sort of thing. I demand dinner first, at the very least.

Anyone who’s interested doubtless already has it, but they’re selling EU3 “Chronicles” - that’s base + all expansions - for $7.50. Crazy.

Honestly, how many games you’ve bought from GoG have you actually played for more than 10 minutes?

You forget, I’m a collector, so this is irrelevant

That makes no sense. How can you collect things which have no physical presence or monetary value? You might as well collect jars of air, or webpages.

Something that costs $5.99 has no monetary value?

So what would you call amassing games through digital distribution sites?

Don’t make him angry or he’ll… code.

I understand you Brian. I do the same thing.

Look dudes, if there’s one thing I’ve learned in the last few years (and there probably is only the one) it’s that you either get retro games or you just don’t. I could make the same tired old argument that you’re all just kids and can’t appreciate the early building blocks games that got us to the amazing peaks we have today. But that’s crap, the average age on Qt3 is something like 75 anyway. So, those of us who can’t let go of the past keep buying it all over again. We’re suckers that way. The rest of you, let’s just say you’re smart and only buy the latest iteration of Modern Warfare and call it a day.

Another bundle thingy. Hacker Evolution (2 versions), in Momentum, Saira, Your Doodles are Bugged, Zombie Shooter 1 & 2.

sigh I already own three of the games. I think I should just avoid Steam sales and wait for bundles. :<

Hell, yes.

I even have an application I use to meticulously track all of the games that I’ll never get enough actual play-time with.

That’s a nice looking program. I need one that can scan my Steam library as a starting point, though. Really, I want a backlog organizer/nagger + Steam integration.

You want to be nagged about your backlog?

Every time I’m about to buy a new game:
“It was as if a million voices all cried out at once, and were suddenly silenced.”

Every time you buy a game, god fucks a kitten.

Which games are the best of this bundle?
