Wow, whoever doesn’t pick up JC2 at that price who hasn’t already got it must hate fun. That is a steal. The Lara Croft game too (well, has good buzz, anyway–I haven’t played it), but I have a code for a free copy that came with my new GTX560 Ti video card from MSI. Is it actually a Steamworks game in any case (please say yes)?

U4 has been free for the past 6 months on http://www.ultimaforever.com/.

Yes, I bought it and registered it on Steam without issue.

Also, the LittleBigBunchbundle that was announced a couple of weeks ago is now live. It includes Explodemon, Frozen Synapse, New Star Soccer 5, Munch’s Oddyssey, and Serious Sam Double D.

Demigod $6.69 on Steam

It is very much worth it at that price, with one massive caveat:
You gotta have friends of your own to play it with, because unless Steam dramatically increases the number of online players, there won’t be any – and the single player experience can be though of as more of a tutorial than anything else.

Also, the original game allowed you to play via lan with only one licensed copy per household, no idea how or if that works with the Steam version.

But, this is one of the best Lan Party games out there for just throwing a bunch of newbies in a game and going to town.

Not as popular as LoL, but was always more fun for me.

Six dollars? A shame there aren’t six people left playing it…

One of the trailers convinced me to buy it :)

Not as easy to purchase as the other bundles, makes you create a new account with your mailing address & stuff. Terms & Conditions were a long read. Had to confirm the order three times too.

When I click on a download link for activation code stuffs it just reopens the same page telling me to click on one. No script is turned off, will try again in a bit & report back with how the games are handled.

I love the Youtube comment for the Explodemon (included in that bundle) video.

Hello.
For the record, Explodemon is NOT a rip-off of 'Splosion Man - you can see videos here of the prototype that date from 2008, and was entered into the 2008 Independent Games Festival - BEFORE 'Splosion Man was even announced. So there is NO POSSIBLE WAY that Explodemon! is a rip-off of 'Splosion Man. It’s just part of the cultural phenomenon of two similar ideas being developed at the same time.

Accuse us of ripping off Mega Man if you want, but the 'Splosion Man accusation is plain WRONG.

This is from one of the developers.

Oh right, and Stephen King didn’t rip off The Simpsons Movie when writing Under the Dome.

A little update on LilBigBunch: Everyone I’ve talked to is having technical issues, and not receiving emails from the company. The “DRM Free” download links in the HTML code are empty (for Serious Sam), and the other I’ve tried is actually a downloader program that tries to connect to the internet & prompts a login to their store. It doesn’t give any indication of how big the files are, and I’m on a bandwidth capped connection at the moment, so I cancelled & that’s it for me.

Wait a little while before purchasing it yourselves if you’re interested

I recall when the game came out that the devs (via Brad, iirc) admitted they badly misread the predominance of SP gamers even for a game developed from the get-go as a MP engagement. As a result, there are actually several people who play Demigod (albeit more when it was new) who just never show up on a server except to do the one time activation on their two bonus characters.

$14.95 gets you this handy-dandy portable Plants vs. Zombies game:

I won’t say where, because I’m not sure it’s legitimate, but I still think it’s kinda neat.

Oh, that’s totally legitimate. Just look at that packaging. Not only does it play PvZ, but also Tetris, Sudoku and Box (among others). How awesome is that?

After all, the IPHONE is the premiere gaming platform of our generation.

One does wonder what’s actually in the box. Of course, the discovery is half the fun of those products.

Pictures were blocked at my work, but for some reason I imagined the link would be to this

Is anyone in the US willing to buy this and pm me the steam code? I can paypal the cash over to you - damn amazon regional restrictions…

EDIT: There is an additional special offer on the Just Cause 2 amazon download. If I’m reading the rules correctly anyone who buys it will recieve a $5 amazon voucher towards the games on this page. Best deal appears to be The Witcher Directors cut, currently for sale at $5 (i.e free with the voucher)

Do you want both, or just JC2?

EDIT: Oh, sorry, nevermind. Forgot I don’t have an active paypal acct at the moment.

Regardless, thanks for the offer. For the record, I’m only after JC2 - anyone doing this for me would be welcome to keep the voucher.

The details of why I don’t have an active paypal acct would make a good post in one of the rage threads. Basically it has to do with my wife and I opening it over ten years ago in her maiden name, and it’s been fucked up every since we decided to make am honest woman of her and get married. Can’t update or change anything without a two hour phone call, and we just haven’t taken the time to start the whole dumb thing over again with a new account. I haven’t used eBay in years and when our last card expired we just let the account rot.

Can you gift Amazon downloads? I can’t see a way to do it from their JC2 page.
