yeah, Serious Sam 3 is 7.50P/9€/10$ for the steam code on Get Games Go.
I’m assuming this would be worth it?

FYI, I just plunked down $9.99 at Get Games Go, and it activated fine with Steam.

I got mine working finally, created a different account and used a different credit card. Must hate mastercard.

Damn, Serious Sam 3 is sold out. I’d probably pick it up at $10.
EA day over on Amazon.
$6 for C&C:RA3, Mirror’s Edge, C&C4, Bad Company 2, Medal of Honor and Dragon Age 2. $5 for Dead Space 2, Sim City 4 Deluxe, Dead Space 1 and Mass Effect 2. Weirdly $12 for Sabotage.
I might pick up the Crysis Maximum Edition for $7.50.

I will enable you on Crysis. Playing that game years after it’s release was really great. I got it last Christmas. Having the original with all the bells and whistles on is really amazing. Strangely, the expansion wasn’t as good graphically but I still had a good time with it.
Also if you like Mechwarrior stuff, the original (not sure if they ported it to warhead yet) had a pretty nifty mod Mechwarrior Living Legends.

Which is better, Shift 1 or 2?
SHIFT2 is better!
Shift 1 was great, but second just has more of everything, plus fantastic helmet view.
I agree with Paul, I enjoy both Shift games, but Shift 2 is the better package.
And I just realized, are we gonna need a new bargain thread for 2012 since it’s right around the corner?
I saw that deal this morning and have been mulling it over all day. Is it worth $6? And it activates on Origin, right?
I paid $10 for it on Origin during their black Friday sale and it’s probably the game I’ve played most since getting my new laptop. I know that it’s generally thought to be the shittiest shit that ever shit a shit, but I like it and found it to’ve been easily worth my $10 investment. So for $6? Hey, go for it.
Dragon Age 2 is totally worth $6. Some people aren’t thrilled with the changes in design versus the Origins/Awakenings games, but even if you decide the same there is still more than $6 worth of decent story, high production values and actiony RPG goodness in there.

I really really liked DA2.
But I’m more interested in the story and writing in games generally which is where the game excels, so YMMV.
None of the DA2 DLC is on sale, sadface.
What exactly are you buying when you pay $6 for Battleforge? Right now it’s F2P with “Battleforge Points” used to purchase stuff like boosters. I assume you’d be getting some of those points, then?
EDIT: Found the answer: You get 3000 points, which is equivalent to $30.
All Bioware DLC is basically being held hostage. I wouldn’t be surprised if DA3 is free to play, but comes with two missions and the rest of the game is DLC for $10 a whack.
Edit: I don’t want anyone to think I’m suggesting ME2 and DA2 aren’t games with a reasonable length. I finished DA2 with around 25 hours put into it. It just kills me when ME2 goes to $5 on Steam, but picking up the DLC (which I never played on the 36) would cost four times that.
I won’t derail the Bargain Thread with a discussion on the topic, but I suspect the games industry may be heading that way. The industry answer to critics of $60 a pop for new games could be to release $20 games with a few hours of content, then sell the remaining content as DLC for $5/$10/$15 a pop. Games like Dragon Age, Mass Effect and even Halo seem almost tailor made for this. Even Call of Duty could sell both multiplayer map packs (as it does now) and additional single player campaigns as DLC.

Sounds good to me, as long as that DLC is properly priced and worthwhile. Most people don’t finish games anyway, so this would be a great thing for consumers. (And that’s why they won’t do it.)
Heck, if the initial chunk is free, we’re regressing all the way back to the shareware model. That would be awesome!

Yeah, it would be great for me since I rarely make it far enough into a game to want DLC. I don’t think I touched any of the free DLC in my Dragon Age Ultimate pack or whatever it was called.
If you never played the Shale stuff, you missed the best part of that game.
