I had to use PayPal, too, because their credit card verification screen was jacked. Bottom line: if you order from GMG, best to use PayPal for smoothest transaction, IMO.
Turns out this is actually not the case, so I’m back to thinking it’s something on GMG’s part. Debating whether I want to bother setting up a PayPal account or just buy it from Steam.

BMT Micro also tried to use some odd credit card authorization system with me so I just used Paypal when I bought Starfarer. Same screen came up with GMG and again I used Paypal instead.
My bank called me the first time I used Google Checkout to buy something, so I wouldn’t necessarily suspect anything is dodgy with GMG.
That said, I just use Paypal whenever the option is presented to me…

HP Touchpads are being clearanced for $99 16gb and $149 32gb if you can find them in store…
Exactly what happened to me.
Amazon’s Deal of the Day is Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II Retribution via their download service for $11.99.
Newegg is offering Battlefield 3 for $48 with free shipping. Use the coupon code EMCYTZT688.
The Witcher 1 Enhanced Edition Directors’ Cut is going for $3.99 on Direct2Drive. Not DRM-free though.
I think you’re going to have to specify a location, because those are still $400 / $500 at Newegg.
I’m not Kadath, but it looks like Best Buy is clearancing them even though I can’t verify the pricing: here’s a linkon their site updating the status of the TouchPads. Further reading hereseems to indicate your best bet is actually at a Walmart due to BB allegedly sending units back.
PS - not saying you should get one, but those are damn fine prices if you’re in the market. I wonder if anyone here can comment on the value of picking up a discontinued Touchpad using a discontinued OS. If it was a PC, I’d say you were crazy, but this is a different kind of product.

Read the wiki community board on this post:
If there are WebOS apps that do what you need a tablet to do, it’s a great deal. I loved WebOS’s UI on my Pre, can’t imagine it’s worse on tablet. But the app support was pretty slim.

It has a strong webkit browser that supports flash, which is most of what I want anyway. There’s a good chance they’ll port android honeycomb to run on it too. It’s only $99, toss the dice.

Seems like BB is sending theirs back instead of clearance and Costco is not committed yet. Walmart, target, hp, amazon and hhgreg are wiped out already
Ah, I was unclear about the fact it’s a discontinued OS with little in the way of apps, and no (known) way to flash it to Android. I can see why they’re so heavily discounted, you’re buying a device which can’t do much in the long term beyond web browsing.

So Dragon Age II and Dead Space II are both $25 on EA/Origin.
http://store.origin.com/store/ea/cat/pc-games/categoryID.8831900
$35 for 360/PS3 versions.
They also sent me a promo code for 25% off my next purchase for my birthday, so I’m thinking of grabbing these two. I’m playing Dragon Age: Origins on the PC right now, and I seem to remember there was a difference in the versions for DA: O. Is there any reason to get DA2 on PC vs 360?
Does that 25% off work on pre-orders? I wouldn’t mind getting BF3 @ 25% off. ($44.95)
:)
Well, PC mods, for one. You can give the whole game a facelift, with texture packs and character model improvements. Plus details like adding an extra party slot for the dog, skipping the Fade, bashing locks open, free respecs, removing helms (which look pretty silly on the casters), more sophisticated tactics menus, and community bug fixes.

Yes it does. I’m considering it too. Same for Mass Effect 3.
