Elements of War on sale at Impulse for 8.99. My son (age 4) saw the screenshots and said, “Ohh, I like that game daddy.” Not sure if it doesn’t suck though.

I wish the DLC for Civ 5 was on sale too. $50 extra for all the dlc. Don’t they usually discount the dlc when they put the game on sale? I’ll guess I’ll have to wait for December and hope they do it then.

Lots of bits from the NFS franchise are on massive sale, including Shift 2 for 15 bucks. That’s a pretty recent game, isn’t it? I haven’t even gotten very far in the first one (other games) but I find it awesome so I bit on 2.

I got my GMG code right at the time I bought Dead Island. I was able to immediately enter on Steam and had no trouble preloading the game on day one here in the U.S.

HA! I’ve backed off a bit on day one purchases. Or I had until I realized how good and cheap PC gaming is. That said, this upcoming holiday season is pack with games that I will be getting on day one, so I’m going to live up to my apparent reputation.
