I think it is supposed to be at the end of this year. I am not sure exactly when though.

They just released a blog post with a new patch. It sounds like they have a few more months to go with the overhaul. But will continue updating the game with more content in the meantime.

I love Amazon’s PC specials of the week, Darksiders 2 and Sleeping Dogs, both with a princely $5 off retail price. Uh, yeah. All over that.

The special of the week for Amazon is actually Crysis: Maximum Edition for $7.50 and Rise of Flight for $10, both 75% off retail.

Ah, not specials, then, but featured items. I am kind of impressed, however, that DotEmu seems to have partnerned with Amazon. DotEmu doesn’t have the breadth of content that GoG has, but they do have stuff that GoG will never seem to get (e.g. Hardwar, Eurofighter Typhoon).

These are brand spankin’ new games. Five bucks off ain’t bad.

People are getting spoiled by greenmangaming, which is either laundering money for the russian mafiya or burning through venture capital like a mutha.

Are the Crysis games worth this? To even ask this question is to admit to Steam addiction I think. In other words, comments appreciated.

If you like shooters and have a fairly solid gaming system, then I’d say yes. Unfortunately, the version of Securom included in that package has been frequently reported as invasive and difficult to remove once the game is uninstalled. I believe there’s also a five-activation limit.

I thought Crysis 2 was shit. There seems to be a lot of love for the first one, but I thought it was nothing but an advertisement for their engine.

GMG support was nice enough to send me a voucher thankfully. I gather it is not an uncommon problem, but all is well that ends well.

expired–was going to use it on sleeping dogs, now i won’t have to.

Greenman Gaming is selling Lord of the Rings: War in the North for $5 today. Decent little hack and slasher in the Tolkien universe, at that price it’s easy to recommend for fans of the genre. Steamworks.

Old FPS games at GOG.

Patrician 4 Gold for $6 on GamersGate.

On Gamefly, you can get Mount and Blade Warband and Burnout Paradise for $5 each. Also The Next Big Thing for $7.50, which is a pretty charming, very silly adventure game.

Tempting… can anyone recommend Patrician IV?

Amazon has The Secret World (digital download) for $24.99.

GMG strikes back at your expired code , with a new code that according to their forum has unlimited use! D:

We have a 20% code available from now til the end of the month, to make the end of the Summer that much better, and help you stock up on games for the coming months. Use DERHE-RRDER-RINGE before 2259 UTC August 31st.

That Lord of the Rings War in the North game comes out to $4 , so that seems worth it. :)

Damn, that takes War in the North down to $4, or Sniper: Ghost Warrior $1.60. I like making cheap games even cheaper.

But you are hurting the industry!

shrugs

Galaxy on Fire 2

It’s $12.80 for pre order on GMG w/this code : DERHE-RRDER-RINGE

Registers on STEAM. Thats pretty much 35% off the pre-order.

Wow nice find!

By the way:

German lesson for today:
DERHE-RRDER-RINGE ->
DER HERR DER RINGE
= The Lord of the Rings
