At a rental price, I can recommend Settlers 7 for multiplayer. It has a nice set-up for cooperative or competitive play.

Not a game persay but walmart has 80 for 100 eGift card for those apple fans that want to get their game on via iTunes.

I have a -75% coupon on Steam for Portal 2. If anyone wants it…

Carcassonne is 50% off in the gamersgate sale. Cool tile-laying game. Or of course you can download JCloisterZone and play carcassonne for free.

Heads up! The official Carcassonne on sale at GG comes with all the expansions, but the trade off is that there is no tutorial at all.

This is the same Carcassonne that I bought ages ago for the PC.
In a word, it is excellent.

The AI is absolutely brutal. This game is STILL one of our go-to games on LAN day. Highly recommended.

Excellent to play online with friends too. Sadly, they’ve not really done anything to bring the other expansions to the digital version of the game.

I wanted to update this for the benefit of those who may have the same issue. Here’s the reply I received from Ubisoft TS:

I see that you purchased Silent Hunter 5 through the Ubishop Online Store website instead of purchasing it through the Uplay PC Client. Since it was purchased through the website you will need to download, install and activate the game before it will show up in the Uplay PC Client.

I did that, and now the game shows in Uplay. So please disregard everything I said previously, for I know nada.

Interesting. While setting up Uplay, it did a rather lengthy search on my PC (it said “searching”). I somewhat logically assumed that meant it was looking for installed and activated Ubisoft games, of which I have several. No dice. I wonder what it was “searching” for, then …

A reason to exist? Seriously fuck UPlay. Get out of my way and let me play the god damned game.

Pirated games. It found one, so congrats, you’re now one of the 97%! ;-)

LOL - that must be the case. After all, buying from anyplace but Uplay means it’s pirated, right? Steam is just another name for Pirate Bay ;)

Uplay is a weird beast. You’d think Ubisoft would have a record of the games you’ve had to activate through Uplay over the last couple of years, and show them to you somehow. It doesn’t even recognize the games you have currently installed, let alone others that you’ve activated. I currently have Driver SF installed through Steam and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood that I bought from Amazon. When I fire up either of them I get the Uplay front end, but don’t see the other game.

Guys, Distant Worlds is on sale!!

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3168715

This RARELY happens, so if you’ve been eyeing the game, PLEASE get it now!

Sale doesn’t seem to be in effect yet. Download edition of the full game is still 39.99, not 26.99 like he says it will be in that post. And the expansions are still at 24.99, not 16.99. Maybe the sale starts later today?

I saw that too, hopefully they’ll flip the switch soon.

It [Distant Worlds] shows up as the sale price in the shopping cart, even though the sale price isn’t shown on the product page.
