That is pretty cool. I’m going to print a stack of those to give away along with the candy. Then I can be responsible for spreading both tooth decay AND PC gaming to the younger generation. Score!

I’m wondering what the website offers if you put in the code. Is it a code to unlock the game on Origin?

Probably - the terms and conditions only mention requiring an internet connection, but I assume “third party software required” would have been mentioned if it provided the game anywhere else. As EA owns the title, they don’t have to mention it.

Hmmm…tooth decay and PC Gaming are one thing, but I’m not sure I want to be responsible for the spread of the Origin client.

On sale on Steam today:

Are we sure that’s an “A”? Because given the graphic, that’s not the way I read it.

IMHO it’s not half bad, actually.

Yep, Shatter is a nice, generous Arkanoid game.

Incredible music as well

Remember when I linked a bunch of Gamestop/Impulse deals for under $10? That sale now has a much better webpage

A one use only bargain! $35 for my Borderlands 2 pre-order key that I tried to cancel and failed. PM me if interested. (I will send the key as soon as the email from GMG arrives).

Space game bundle thing.

Armalyte
Dark Scavenger
Death Ray Manta
Miner Wars Arena
Robot Riot
SOL Exodus
Space Giraffe
Wreckless

Any gems in there? The only name I recognize there is Space Giraffe, which I didn’t care for.

Wreckless is fun, SOL Exodus is a good time, that’s all I got.

Vampire: Bloodlines for $8 over at dotemu.com.

GoG doesn’t have this one, and dotemu.com games are DRM-free, too.

So the 1 or 2 people on Qt3 who haven’t actually played this, buy it now, and do a search on this board for WESP patch so we don’t have to tell you how to patch it AGAIN :)

Dark Scavenger is pretty good, also pretty insane. That said, it’s also available through Gamersgate’s Indiefort pick-your-poison bundle and I think most people are going to be better off with that one.

At least for the US, Metro 2033 is a mere $2.99 today from GMG after their 25% voucher. About 14 hours left for this price. It activates on Steam.

This is the lowest price I’ve seen for it. It usually goes down to $5.

GMG25-1BW0K-K1A3G

For $3 it’s worth looking at the pretty graphics for a few minutes at 25 fps.

Metro 2033 is also part of a 5 pack of games there for $9.something with the 25% coupon.

Having bought 6 (3079, Blue Libra, Devil Whiskey, Sentinel 3: Homeworld, Star Prospector, Black Market), and tried all 6 only tentatively:

3079 - Very VERY WEIRD! Minecraft-ish characters, crafting tools and architecture with quests/objectives to drive you. I’ve not delved deep enough into it to comment fully, but there is a TON of content to be explored.

Blue Libra - Surprisingly fun RTS spacey-type thing. Basically, a simpled-down version of most earth-based RTS’s in that you attack with “groups” of units instead of individual units. My favorite of the bunch.

Devil Whiskey - A bit too Text-Adventurey for my taste just now. Not written off yet, but will revisit when I’m “in the mood”.

Sentinel 3: Homeworld - Cute, easy little tower-defense game. Good for a short, fun TD break.

Star Prospector - Another surprisingly fun game! RTS, with some RPG elements, paced just slow enough to be fun and not too hectic.

Black Market - My own idiocy is to blame for me not having a good first game (read: I died). So, I’ll refrain from commenting on plot/gameplay just yet. First impression, though, is developers trying a bit too hard to be amusing, and not succeeding.

This deal is amazing. In GBP terms it is 3 games for £2.49, 6 for £4.49 and 9 for £6.49.

I grabbed a 3 game pack consisting of Telepath RPG, Star Prospector and Air Buccaneers HD, and I chucked in some extra bucks as a direct donation for the devs. Rock, Paper Shotgun have done a lot of writing about Air Buccaneers, which led to that pick. One of the last reviews on Out of Eight was for Star Prospector, and although it didn’t score crazy high, I really liked the idea of a slow-paced RTS / RPG / Base Building game. Telepath RPG is supposed to have some good turn-based tactical battles, and starved as I am of such things, I’d like to break my fast.
