Devil Whiskey is heavily Bard’s Tale inspired. In fact I believe it used the word Bard in the original working title.

I followed the development some and tried the first demo release. The game balance was so terrible that I basically gave up on the game at that point. Things like leveling up too quickly and getting spells so quickly that you’d never really get a chance to use one because you’d have already gotten a better one. When I posted about some of the balance issues in their original forum none of the devs replied, which didn’t give me a very good impression, so I’m not sure how much work they spent fixing those issues. Hopefully they improved it over time.

Newegg sent out some $12 off $49.99 Game Preorder coupons to existing customers. Does anybody know for sure whether XCOM, Dishonored, Metro: Last Light, Colonial Marines, or Bioshock Infinite activates on Steam? Pretty sure XCOM does and Dishonored does not…

I have just preordered Borderlands 2 on GMG and been given a steam key but steam won’t accept it. Is this due to it not being released until Friday in the uk.

Not sure if it is preloading for us yet, any ideas?

wrt Dishonored, I was going by the fact that their Steam page only says “single player” and not “steam achievements”, etc at the bottom.

And, on the game’s official website, there is no Steam logo.

That is a DAMN fine package of games. Probably lots of people are like me and have most of those. But I’ve been wanting to get Dustforce and Rochard, so I’m in anyway.

I will definitely recommend both Vessel and Shatter, if people are on the fence about those two lesser-known games. I think you probably know what you’re getting with Torchlight and Tom Chick has heaped plenty of praise on SPAZ.
