Graphics shmaphics, I still enjoy this kinda thang:

Are you developing a game, or did you just compile someone else’s source?

Son, this game is thirty-nine years old.

Now, isn’t there some other porch you can hang out on?

Thanks for the info, bought with trade-ins for $35.

GMG always gets my I-need-this-for-release-day monies.

Lego Batman 2 is $7.50 on Gamefly, along with some other Warner Bros games.

LOL

I’ve been asking myself this question lately: “How old do you need to be before people stop calling you a kid?” I’m past 30 now, and I still haven’t found the answer.

Also… “but I LIKE this porch!” Finding this board was my “hey, the internet has smart people too” moment.

(sorry for dumbing things up :P )

We have the best Kool-Aid.

OMG, this game is as good as I’ve heard, right?

Character creation in Darklands is a game in itself. I spent many hours rolling different stats and developing characters along various lines mostly out of curiosity to see just how they ended up. But one can’t spend too much time developing them or the characters will be too old to join one’s party; physical attributes diminish with age.

As for Master of Magic, despite its age I find it more playable than many new games and better than most.

Wow, now I’m starting to think I should get Darklands.

And I totally agree with you on MoM.

Regarding the GMG trade in deal for X-Com. I’ve never done any trade ins before on the site and I have a question. It says that the trade in offer is good until October 1st. Does that mean that I have to trade in and buy the game before the 1st, or can I trade in the game now and buy the game at the discounted price after October 1st?

GMG’s weekend deals are on 2K games, inc. Civ 5, Pirates!, Bioshock 1 & 2, Borderlands 1, and Mafia 1 & 2. I believe these sales can be combined with GMG’s 20% off coupon but haven’t tested to be sure.

He was asking because the screenshot shows it running from a VS debug directory.

Meaning Brian was correctly kicking it old-school by indulging in one of my favorite pasttimes as an impressionable youngster: typing in program listings.

I personally would have used something a little less heavy-duty for my compiler (http://www.freebasic.net/) but hey.

Vvvviiiiiiiiccc! Not a single link to your main page on your blog. Help people buy your games!

So much for my no-new-games-until-Christmas goal…

This was always my favorite iteration of Sid Meier’s Pirates!

With DOSBox you can increase the size by scaling it and then pretty it up a bit by running 2D smoothing filters.

WTF is a Kingon?
