For some reason this bundle is not available in the UK/Europe, even though the individual games are. It must be something weird with their contract with EA.

Thanks for the tip on Nexus, Giaddon. Even though I have both the disk and Steam versions, I’m snagging the GOG version for the soundtrack. :)

By the way, the Matrix site for Time of Fury says you get a 30% discount if you own Time of Wrath (no matter where you bought it). Since that’s $12 off, seems like paying $4 for Time of Wrath on Gamersgate is a good deal if you intend to buy Time of Fury anyway.

Steam’s deal of the day is the Syberia games together for $3.74, good deal if you’re an adventure game fan who has passed them over.

Rome: Total war gold is 1$ on steam today.

There’s a Total War weekend sale

Sleeping Dogs is down to $30 on Amazon. The game unlocks on Steam.

Today’s $0.25 android games:
Cut the Rope: Experiments, World of Goo, Flick Nations Rugby, Shark Dash, and Dungeon Village (Kairosoft)

Apps:
DoubleTwist Alarm Clock, Sketchbook Mobile, Paper Camera, and The Going to Bed Book

You can save 35% on anything from Buttkicker tomorrow with coupon code SAVE35.

I got my Buttkicker Gamer 2 a couple years back and enjoy it quite a bit. The remote sucks though. I remember playing Metro 2033 in the dark with headphones on and there was a heartbeat sound which would cause my chair to thump a bit with each beat. Very immersive. Freespace 2 with force feedback joystick + buttkicker was bananas too.

GOG has a weekend promo on Square Enix games, which include all three Thief games, The original 2 Deus Ex games, Anachronox, and a bunch more. Great selection.

Greenman Gaming has some kind of Sega deal going.

So there I was, buying Thief Gold, Thief 2 and Anachronox, and checking out. And then after I put my credit card info it and pressed process, I realized I’d forgotten to “unclick” Heroes Chronicles when I’d previously put it in the cart in order to buy it in a previous sale, but decided against it maybe? I’m still not sure why I ended up with it.

Oh well. I guess I own all chapters of Heroes Chronicles now.

Not saying this will work for you, but a while back I accidentally bought a game I didn’t want on GoG. I emailed their customer support. A day or so later they emailed back that while there are no refunds, I could choose a different game at the same price, so long as I hadn’t yet DL’d the game I didn’t want. I took them up on their offer. Great support, those GoGers.

If there is anyone left on the face of the planet who enjoys strategy games and doesn’t own Rome TW Gold yet, it’s a must buy at $1.

Rock8Man,

That sucks, but on the bright side if you enjoyed HOMM3 at all you’ll find Heroes Chronicles to be a lot of fun. All the campaigns kind of link together to create a bridge between the story of HOMM3 and that of HOMM4. The original release plan, featuring 8 packages sold at retail for like $20 a pop, was ridiculous, but getting all that content for $10 is actually not a bad deal.

Rome is now back up to $7.50 (25% discount).
Today’s Steam Total War deals are Empire for $4.99 and Napoleon for $4.99. 75% off.

Today’s deal is The Binding of Isaac for $1.24. 75% off. Hmm, I paid more than that in tips at lunch today…

And to respond to Slainte: I don’t own Rome. I did buy Empire from a previous sale, and I wanted to play it first to see if I’ll like any of the TW’s first. It’s currently scheduled to be played in April 2014…

Hell yeah it is! I already owned the game on CD and $1 was worth it just for the convenience of having it in my steam library.

There’s yet another indie game sale: http://indiegamestand.com/

It’s pay what you want with a new game every four days. The current one is Escape Goat which is a neat little puzzle platformer.

Indie Royale has the Oktoberfest Bundle up:

Hector: Badge of Carnage [steam (pc, mac), windows, mac, desura]
Chime [steam (pc)]
The Adventures of Shuggy [steam (pc), windows, desura]
Dangerous High School Girls In Trouble! [steam (pc, mac), windows, mac, desura (incl. bonus game The Witch’s Yarn!)]
The Network [windows, desura]

Have we covered http://www.getloadedgo.com/ ?

Choose two games for $15 total. Options are

Binary Domain
Arkham City GOTY
Men of War: Assault Squad
Space Marine
Stronghold 3
Civilization V

Very nice selection.

Hmm, the rare indie bundle where I don’t have any of the games yet. On the other hand, none of them make a strong enough first impression to make me think they would jump to the front of my backlog queue. Anyone have a particularly strong recommendation for any of them?

The Hector games are well written and lots of fun, but only if you like the humor (British-style humor, kinda sweary).

Shogun 2 and Fall of the samurai are on sale for 7.49$ today.

Which one is better?

I liked Rome but I didn’t like M2, will I like either of these?
