That particular price was from wowhd.com just last week. At the time, they too were having a 20% off all games deal. Though, even now their prices are fantastic. Hitman Absolution is $32 and Dishonored is $39.

I only buy games from GMG that register on steam because i have no faith in GMG’s reliability due to constant, severe, web site stability issues (which explains how they can offer such nice discounts on preorders).

Doing this, it is almost like i only use steam since i download the games and play them via steam.

I do the same, with the number of games that unlock on steam I’ve got most of the recent games I want from there.

Those are great prices. Far Cry 3 is also $32. But these are physical products and I wonder where they ship from. The UK? I’d hate to pre-order a game here in the US and have to wait 4-6 weeks for it.

The Creeper World games are 50% off at Gamersgate ($7.50 for the bundle). Clever take on the tower defense genre. Some other TD games are in the sale too.

Ah, yes. If you want to play on release day or close to it, within 1-2 days, this isn’t the place to buy from. If on the other hand, you prefer to have a physical product (even if it’s a Steamworks title), and enjoy saving heaps of money, retail is king. Hmmm, buy one new-release AAA game on Steam, or buy two AAA new-release games -with retail packaging- for the same price? For many, the choice is easy.

I definitely recommend both Creeper World games. The second one is decidedly NOT a pure sequel to the first. It changes the perspective of the game from top-down to side-scrolling. But both are games about building a power network and facing off against a big fluid, all-encompassing opponent. They’re nifty.

WowHD ships from Hong Kong afaik. Takes around 10-14 days to Europe I heard (never ordered from them myself).

They’ve been that price for a couple of days now, assuming some sort of clearance. I picked up MW3 for 10 bucks last night. The pickings were very slim – maybe 4 games and 3 WoW expansions.

Had nothing better planned over lunch hour, so I drove down to the local to check it out. The price is indeed $9.99, and all the good stuff is indeed gone. Had 'em check at the other store in my area, and it’s out of D3 and Skyrim as well. They still had plenty of the WoW expansion and SWTOR, which tells you a little something about how those are doing for in-store box sales.
