It’s available if you grabbed their freebie game (Age of Darkness I think). But you can’t get that for free anymore.

I don’t think so. Pretty sure the buy a free game and get $8 thing was only for a couple days.

It is good, but simple. It is still in Alpha. It just needs to have a lot more depth put into it. In other words, it has a lot of potential, and time will tell if that potential is realized.

THQ weekend on Steam, everything half off, plus daily deals. Today is COH. Gratuitous Tank Battles is daily deal.

Looks like you can get Skyrim for $27 on Greenman Gaming. $36 for the game with a 25% off voucher (GMG25-EVFWS-4Z4ZN)

Borderlands 2 is $37.50 using the same voucher.

That THQ’s going out of business sale? Includes Darksiders II for $25 which I’m debating…

What are the chances Darksiders 2 is a daily deal this weekend and is 75% off like CoH?

Slim but possible.
Why not wait for the last day of the sale and then buy it if it wasn’t reduced before. The old Steam Summer / X-mas Sale rule applies here, too.

Even more to consider: Steam’s Thanksgiving Sale (if it’s done again this year) and then of course the X-Mas one.
I bought “L.A. Noire” for 50% off last year and then it went to -75% a few weeks later in the next Steam Sale…

It’s a relative safe bet that Darksiders II will be at least -50% in coming sales.
So if you have the patience and don’t need to play the game right now you might safe even more.

The OOTP Baseball 2012 app for i-Phone and i-Pad is available for 99 cents for a ‘limited’ period.

25 buck for Darksiders II is a really good deal, it’s a fun game with a lot of content and great combat.

Seconded. I’m a big fan of both Darksiders titles, and think that the sequel got a raw deal and poor representation.

Now, granted, they are not titles for everyone, and even a little difficult to describe. The best way I know to do so in brief is “Zelda-style exploration for more hardcore types”, but really it’s an amalgamation of a whole heap of different genre tropes stuffed into a hardcore Zelda-style execution and narrative.

If you do try Darksiders II, stick with it until Act 2. The first Act (gardenworld dwarfland) struck me a little soft with the theming. If you aren’t in love by the “Throne of the Dead” sequences then it’s not your cup of tea.

There are some good deals on 2K games this weekend on Gamefly. The most notable drop is Spec Ops for $7.50.

It should also be noted that Spec Ops requires Steam, so Gamefly would just be selling you a code which is good news.

SpecOps for 7.50 is a crazy good deal and everyone should play it.

edit: The Darkness 2 as well! Also a terrific game, also $7.50, and also Steamworks.

New bundle:

King’s Bounty 1
Neo Scavenger
X-Blades

Pay more than $5:
Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath
Tropico 3

I flipped a coin and got Spec Ops on GameFly. Can’t wait to try it.

I don’t know how much you know about the game, but if it’s very little, do try to keep it that way. Stay out of the forum thread and just go in blind.

And stick with it.

All I really know about is from the Zero Punctuation review. I’ve tried to keep away from as much info as possible.

GOG has an excellent weekend deal. A big bunch of Activision games, some of which are really good, with a 60% discount.

I’d like to recommend all of the Gabriel Knight games to anyone who still hasn’t played them. All of Sierra’s Quest games are also in the bundle, including the phenomenal Quest for Glory games. Arcanum and Phantasmagoria also deserves to be mentioned, in my opinion.

I wish I had a functional credit card.

edit: Also, Pharaoh, Zeus, Zork and Betrayal at Krondor. :)

Also, GOG has La Mulana for $10(down from $15) and Legend of Grimrock for $7.50.
