big fish – I have some suggestions if you want to be seen as a part of the community and not a salesman. First, ask Tom directly about how HE would like you to talk about your products in the forums. Second, when you post, be conversational and don’t sound like an advertisement (even if sometimes the rest of us might post in curt “Here’s a free thing!” manner). Third, consider changing your forum name? I don’t know if that just makes things more awkward, but I don’t think a corporation will ever be able to feel like part of the community.

Hope this helps and that it sounds right to everyone else here. I think developer participants in this forum (I’m one!) are really valuable, but the main reason is because everyone gets insights into the biz and, for the developers, they can get feedback and encouragement from the group–not just customers.

With Popcap being owned by EA now, do these copies of PvZ need Origin to run?

I’ve already finished the game on the 360 multiple times, and have played it to death. But I’m still tempted, especially if the PC version is different in any way. Is it different? Is the main campaign challenging at all? In the 360 version the campaign was a perfect training ground for the endless Survival mode, which was the challenging part that I spent most of my time on. But I was hoping the campaign itself would get more challenging too, since Survival mode only takes place on the daylight pool map.

Same on PC, I’m afraid. In fact it would probably strike you as much easier since you get to use a mouse.

Guys, The Darkness II is $5 on Amazon right now:

I believe it activates on Steam as well. I finally gave in and snagged it.

I’m not familiar with the 360 version - did its campaign end with a roof battle?

If so, it’s probably the same. There’s a huge collection of minigames on PC as well.

The challenge seemed to be dynamic… if I was intentionally building really badly it would send easy waves over, and stronger ones if I wasn’t having any problems

I bet the campaign’s the same, but there are definitely unique minigames on PC, including the Zen Garden.

The campaign is the same between the PC and 360… and as far as I can remember, the 360 version isn’t missing anything: Zen Garden and the mini-games are there, plus there’s VS and Co-Op modes that aren’t there on the PC.

I prefer the 360 controls as well, since pickups (sun) are automatically sucked in to the pointer, whereas you have to click like a mad person (or tap like crazy) on every other platform I’ve played it on (PC, Android, DS… I have too many copies of this game…).

Yeah, I’ve spent way too many hours in the Zen Garden. I didn’t really like the mini-games much, but I did enjoy the Versus mode a lot. I didn’t try the Co-op yet. It sounds like the PC version won’t give me anything I haven’t experienced yet. Thanks for the feedback guys.

boo says $29.99 for me.

Guys just play the first three days of Pathologic. It’ll be great!

The Walking Dead season pass for $15 just went live on Amazon. Activates on Steam.

Remember, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition is $19.90 on Amazon today. Unlocks on Steam.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is $19.61 on Amazon today as well. Unlocks on Origin.

I believe there is an Amalur bundle including DLC planned for $12 in November at Amazon, so you may want to hold out for that.

Thanks! I didn’t want to pay full price after already owning the PS3 version, but $20 is close enough to the price of just buying the new DLC by itself that I don’t mind.

That’s what I’m waiting for. I hope it isn’t just a rumor.

Well that Amazon digital sales guy (Tony) who posts over at GAF hinted something like that. I didn’t see the “$12” though but then again I’m not following too closely.

He’s usually pretty reliable. I jump in every so often to see what he has to say.

My problem with Amazon is that they still don’t accept Paypal. I keep a small balance in my Paypal account specifically for gaming impulse purchases, and it irks me when Amazon has a sale too good to miss and I have to pay out of my regular checking account.

Get yourself a Paypal credit card.
