Gamers’ Gate’s latest set of offers includes the Cities in Motion add-ons at up to 55% off. I was able to get the Ulm one with blue coins alone.

This turned out to be a pretty good game so far. As indicated by my 16 hours played since Thursday.

Having levels generated by name and then shared with your friendlist is evil. I dread Cargo Commander’s “New Mail” indicator more now than the one at work, because it means someone has beaten one of my highscores.

Going into a level bearing your friend’s name and beating his score feels a lot like the sort of challenge usually offered by a glove slapped across the cheek. I couldn’t go to bed Saturday night until I’d reclaimed “my” level.

Picked up cargo commander, looks fun. :)

It is. Took a bit for me to get into it (20-30 minutes before it just clicks), but the friends’ leaderboard is great.

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom (Xbox 360) for $5.01

Binary Domain is $7.50 on GMG with their current coupon code, anyone know if its worth that? I might add to the backlog if so.

Yes, asked multiple times in this thread.

I was probably one of them people who asked when it was $10 on Amazon. :p

If you like 3rd person shooters, then hell yeah.

I played on 360 but hell yeah, Binary Domain is totally worth that price.

Gears of War 2 - Game of the Year Edition (Xbox 360, of course) for $7.99 on Amazon

The Darkness 2 / X360 for $10 at Bestbuy.

Shrapnel is having a sale, which includes 45% off Dominions 3, which brings it down to $30. This is the lowest I’ve ever seen it go, so if anyone’s been holding out, this is the time to get it.

Feh, I totally wish they’d have a deeper sale on Salvo. I totally can’t justify the game at that price. Sigh.

How is the game as a single player game? I was always under the impression that it’s multi-player heavy

The AI kind of sucks, so most people just use single player to learn the game, and later to try out different builds and strategies. Multiplayer is where it’s at, but there’s a very active community, and finding opponents at all skill levels is quite easy.

Because it’s US election day, my own indie strategy game ‘Democracy 2’ is 50% off for today only on steam:

While this is certainly true, I still find the single player experience very enjoyable and can still provide a servicable challenge given the complexity of the game. There are certain game settings it does better with (like it doesn’t do well against setting 9 indies). It can take a while to learn the game well enough to steam-roll them I think. Or at least it did for me :).

Anyone have an opinion on the Shrapnel game “Salvo! Age of Sail?”

It’s a whopping six dollars cheaper this month, but I’m jonesing for some wind-based naval warfare and that’s a very narrow field.

Haven’t played Salvo!, but if you’ve not played Age of Sail 2: Privateer’s Bounty, you totally should. It’s really awesome.
