Four-Player Co-op Campaign – Play as one of four unique characters, each capable of wielding weapons infused with Darkness powers

Is that actual co-op or is that on-line multi-player?

What does that mean?

Ubisoft is doing a promo for European users(!). They are giving you E10 off on your purchase which makes every game under 10 free. Some of these activate on Steam.

Go to http://shop.ubi.com and use promocode: UBIPGW10 . Don’t how long this will last so use it fast.

He’s asking if it’s on-the-couch splitscreen co-op or online only.

I have no idea. PC version here.

Any idea which games activate on Steam? I almost bought Silent Hunter 5 but apparently they charge 7 euro for their 2 years “extended download service”.

I didn’t think it would happen. Just as I am about to upgrade to Windows 7, this game goes on a decent sale. Too little, too late, and now incompatible. :p

I have window 7, and it runs just fine for me. It is totally compatible. I don’t understand the misinformation you are spreading. Buy it already.

Misinformation? How about the developer’s webpage?

Operating System Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP

Now who is spreading misinformation, FFS?

I don’t see W7 in that list. If they can’t even bother to update their webpage it sure doesn’t say much for their customer support. Flakey at the least. Won’t run at the worst (despite your authoritativeness). And still expensive after all these years. :p Not good signs.

Their main page: http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Illwinter/DOM3/DOM3_page.html

The game was released before Windows 7, so their initial compat list from release didn’t include W7, and I’m guessing someone on Gamer’s Front didn’t update.

There’s a demo, BTW. You can see if it runs on your system (works fine on mine).

Tried using that UBI Store, but they insisted on giving me some hybrid Norwegian, English, French storefront so I figured faen heller and closed the navigateur.

OK, so they didn’t update their DOM 3 page. Curious to know if anyone has played much of it on Win7, and their experience.

EDIT: ah, nevermind, it’s download only. $30 is too much for a download.

I have never had any trouble and have played both single and multi(7 or 8 games). Win7 on an AMD processor.

Thanks for the tip, Brian!

If only it was on GOG.

Amazon is selling the London Philharmonic’s “Greatest Video Game Music 2” for $4, which includes tunes from Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed, Luigi’s Mansion (???) and Chrono Trigger (!!!). Thought there might be some interest.

Picked it up, thanks.

I’ve been waiting for that, thanks Giaddon!

And Bismark, no problem, it’s worth owning regardless. That and the two Man of War games are the best in the business, IMO.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare popped up on Greenman Gaming for $25, which means you can use the code (GMG25-UAAHK-6AI9S) to get it for $18.75. Steamworks.

I’m having a total blast with the game (and dumped a big old post in the thread.)

Here’s a video on advanced combat tips (the game at its most technical):

Here’s a video of more general gameplay from a new player (more chaotic):

I managed to get HAWX for nothing. I’d never consider buying it, but I’m willing to sacrifice some bandwidth to get it for free. It may entertain my son.
I was surprised to find that it doesn’t show on uplay. Then again, I have uplay to allow me to play Assassin’s creed II which I bought from Steam, and that doesn’t register in my account as well.
They have a strange way of trying to tie customers to their platform.

I picked it up even though I was very disappointed in the first album. Hopefully this one will be much better.
