Let’s try it!

Huzzah! Imgur for the win!

Haha, anybody else kind of relieved to refresh and just see “I Am Alive” on sale today?

My wishlist is like 11 or 12 games now. At this point that basically means “games I will buy the minute there’s a discount”.

Yeah, my wallet breathed a sigh of relief.

I’m changing my sale date start estimate to either tomorrow or Thursday.

Why not Wednesday?

I think the last couple times they went ahead and started the sale lined up with their regular sale start times (Tuesday and Thursday at 1PM) and I imagine they might continue that trend even for the Thanksgiving sale. The only thing that makes that sound like a bad idea is you should start the sale by Thanksgiving morning probably, and maybe they need people at the office to run the sale so maybe start it on a non-holiday.

Still, this is all based on feeling, I don’t think anyone knows except some people at Valve.

We should know tomorrow. Maybe the Thanksgiving sale will start, or we’ll get a regular midweek or we’ll get an odd silence. If we don’t get a midweek then Wednesday it is. If we do get a midweek then the Thanksgiving sale will probably start on Thurs at 1.

I added it to my wish list, never buy a game before the sale. Although I did buy Don’t Starve yesterday.

Spec Ops , $7.49 @ GMG

cheaper if u use the 20% code! GMG20-1FYLZ-EDG8R

So is it worth it to get this game which apparently has only OK gameplay but does make a statement about how bad war is… yet doesn’t give you options for not being a bad war person?

You can stop playing at any time.

And yes.

Oh I didn’t buy it, I was “relieved” in the sense that the sale hadn’t started and so I didn’t feel compelled to go on a hundred dollar spree.

Anyway, the daily deals over at Gamersgate today aren’t bad (apparently they’re doing 4 every day for the sale). Space Marine for 7.50, Victoria 2 for 5.00, Serious Sam 3 for 10, and Men of War Gold for 8.74. Don’t think I’m going to bite on any though.

Is Victoria 2 worth it, without the A House Divided expansion?

No, mainly because the interface is so bad without it. But overall it is greatly enhanced with the expansion.

Damn, anyone that missed this game before (like me!) pick it up now. Really, really fun.

Thanks. I guess I’ll wait for a sale on the expansion.

Spec Ops: The Line for $6 from GMG (activates on steam).

Use code

This is the controversial 3rd person shooter cribbing off Heart of Darkness where your character slowly goes mad over the course of the game. Well reviewed.

Edit: Dammit, I posted too late. Previous page too. Oh well.

Thanks! That Spec Ops deal is pretty good. Activates on Steam btw.

Disagree. It’s an Xbox Live Arcade game ported to the PC.

So. It’s an arcade game.
