Blades of Time digital download @ amazon for $7.49. Been waiting for it to go below a tenner. The Product Description says it all: "Richly entertaining characters. [t]it’s probably not worth your time. It’s got a lot of neat concepts in the combat, but the actual execution is clunky and means you’ll be grinding the enemies a lot so the game can show off all that it can do over and over and over again. YMMV of course, but any of Skyrim, Two Worlds 2, Risen, Darksiders 2, probably even Amalur and I won’t even mention the elephant in the room Dark freaking Souls will have vastly more satisfying combat.

And the story’s about as good as the game cover image suggests, of course.

Disciples III Resurrection for $1.70 on Gamersgate. Totally worth it at that price if you like to play turn-based tactical combat ala HOMM or King’s Bounty. Heck it’s low enough to pay with your Blue Coins (which I did).

And I was so damn doped up I couldn’t concentrate on anything, let alone eat into my backlog. My wife told me she knew it would happen, but didn’t have the heart to tell me. By the time I could think clearly again, it was time to go back to work.

That is a heart breaking tale. And also heart warming since your wife was supportive of the idea of you wanting to play games in your down time. That’s so sweet.

I’m still waiting on the supposed Amazon deal for Game of Thrones RPG and Game of Thrones Genesis that was promised by the CAG Amazon guy last month. Supposedly both games were going to be a package deal for $10. If anyone sees that go live, please let me know.

Steam Sale time again already? Good lord. Luckily I have a $20 Steam wallet code my son gave me for my birthday so hopefully I can nab some good stuff on a budget. I normally go more crazy during the Xmas and Summer sales than I do at Thanksgiving anyway. I know exactly what people are talking about when they say they look over their Steam collection and gloat (or dispair).

I am honestly starting to wonder if there is much more out there I would even want to purchase. The Game of Thrones stuff certainly, and Kingdoms of Amular, but I’m starting to feel like I already own everything…
