Somebody let it slip that Steam will start its autumn sale tomorrow. Last year, they waited until Black Friday. This time, it starts the day before Thanksgiving. But during the summer sale, most if not all discounts were repeated. So you’re unlikely to miss something this time, if you’re stuck on a plane Thursday without Internet access or something.

Want to draw everyone’s attention to Intrusion 2, because it’s probably very easy to overlook (not least because of the title). I played a chunk of the demo, and it’s a physics-driven platformer-shooter that just seems full of a million surprises. I will definitely be picking it up for $2 and change.

Huh. I looked at it and thought “Metal Slug” clone and was going to give it a pass…but now you’ve intrigued me with it being ‘physics driven’ and surprising.

I was tempted, but thought I wouldn’t get around to playing it, but now I will buy it.

They haven’t given it a promo spot anywhere, but the recently released Cargo Commander has been sliced down to 2.49. Thought I’d mention it, was good enough for me to pick it up (I don’t really think they’re going to go down to a buck or something ridiculous like that).

Speaking of games that ARE a buck, Zeno Clash is…that. It is one of those games.

Indeed! Looks like the best bargain today is KOTOR 2 at $2.49, which is has not been on sale yet. The mod to restore content is pretty much required. It does a lot of stuff, but since it’s mostly scripting and bug fixes, it’s only a 60MB download.

(Edit: Also, PC Gaming Wiki has tips for troubleshooting, getting widescreen HD to work, and links to a tweak guide and high-res audio packs.)

I’ve been using Cheapshark to keep it all sorted.

Same-same. I got Isengard on that deal last year…doing the same for Rohan this year. My highest dude is still under 50.

If you play DDO even a little, that MotU standard pack is a heck of a deal at 75% off too. $12.50 for a bunch of mid-high level adventures + Druid class + 1000 points and some other little bonuses. Good deals!
