It’s not much better, no. Buy something else.

Best Buy claims they stock them now, and they’re available on the website, but I couldn’t find them anywhere at my local BB last week. The worker I talked to there hadn’t even heard of it. I know that BB employees aren’t held in high regard, but she seemed pretty capable.

My local Gamestop always has them on display, though.

Either way, sales tax is apparently baked in, so it will cost exactly what it says on the card. At least in CA.

RE : chivalry 4 pack

I dunno about earlier, but I just bought a 4 pack.

2 copies left for sure, a personal friend said he might want the 3rd copy (not sure yet)! So Armiger and razarok if you both are interested , PM me.

I am going into work soon, so I might not be able to send them till tomorrow AM.

$9.37 per copy.

Today we have:

Space Giraffe $2.50: http://store.steampowered.com/app/27800/

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008/12/18/wot-i-think-space-giraffe/ – Space Giraffe has been described as “the arcade game analogue of Ulysses” – at 2.50 I’ll bite.

Hotline Miami is $5: http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/219150/

I visited my local BB here in Utah and they had a wall of Steam Cards. $20 and $50 if I remember correctly.

If you end up with a copy that isn’t spoken for, I’ll take it. I can do paypal or other electronic payment service or check by mail.

PMed you and razarok. Send the monies!!!

:p

I finally make the decision to pull the trigger on Dishonored, and GMG is out of codes. They may or may not get more before the sale is up.

If anyone has an extra one they would like to sell, PM me.

Waiting for more codes from GMG is like waiting for a snail to walk over the great pyramids.

I think they are still out of Warlock dlc codes, and that was like a week ago. :|

No biggie. I’m sure it will go on sale again next month.

Doh! Missed the Chivalry pack here. I’m getting my own 4pack then, with two copies spoken for. Anyone else interested in the other two, pm me.

edit: last copy claimed (for now)

I’m tempted to pick up King Arthur II and the DLC for $6 (total). Any thoughts on this game in it’s current state? I remember dismissing it after playing the demo, I can’t recall why though. I like strategy games, and I always wanted to like the first KA but couldn’t get into it for whatever reason, so I’m hesitant to pick KAII up, even at such a great price.

Haven’t got feedback as to the quality of KA2, but if you’re in the market for it you may wanna grab this Paradox bundle instead:

$7.50 for Achtung Panzer (Non-Steam), Gettysburg Armored Warfare (Steam), Hearts of Iron 3 collection (Steam), King Arthur 1 collection (Steam), King Arthur 2 (Steam), Victoria 2 (Steam), and Victoria 2 expansion A House Divided (Steam).

Bit more expensive than buying KA2 by itself on Steam, but if you’re interested in any of the other included games it’s a nice deal.

BleedTheFreak,

Did you play the original King Arthur at all? KA2 is more of the same with some improvements to combat, the UI and graphics engine. If the sort of wonky controls and UI were a big turn off to you in the demo, you’ll probably never warm to them in the game itself. Personally I love the entire KA series, but it took me awhile to get used to the controls and the different sort of strategy required to be successful in the battles. It’s not Total War, and playing it that way inevitably leads to frustration.

Honestly, if you’re at all curious I’d say drop the $4 on the base game and try it out. It’s absolutely worth $4 just for the gorgeous graphics/UI and the hauntingly beautiful musical score. Then, if you like the base game, the Dead Legions DLC will be $2 or less again during the Xmas sale.

Alternatively, Squee is spot on with the advice to pick KA2 up through the Paradox Pack on Amazon for $7.50. Sure you don’t get the Dead Legions DLC, but if you’re willing to wait on that for Xmas Sale anyway you can get Victoria 2 which is supposed to be pretty good and HOI3 collection which is supposed to be excellent. I have no idea about Achtung Panzer (sounds like a U2 song) or Gettysburg Armored Warfare (which sounds like the Civil War with mechs, which would be mind-blowingly awesome!).

KA2’s DLC is actually better than the main game. The main game has a demo… The big thing to note is perhaps that it has essentially no strategy layer. It is not like KA1.

That’s sorta what it is, I believe. Kinda steampunk civil war.

No idea if it’s any good though. Also just realized by looking at that Steam page that it’s apparently multiplayer only which is usually the kiss of death.

Thanks! That’s what I wanted to know. I actually did like KA1 but couldn’t get into it for various reasons, and KA II (from the developer walk through before the game launched) sounded great, but for whatever reason the Demo had some bits I didn’t enjoy, or so I recall, but I don’t remember what exactly. For $6 I just picked them both up.

As for the bundle, honestly I’m not super into Hearts of Iron or Victoria (I like my strategy bound in space or fantasy, when possible :P) but more importantly, I have a bunch of Steam credit to use, and no Amazon credit. Thanks for the advice though.

Steam forums suggest its dead, and the developer gave up on it for his next game.
