It’s all retail priced at the (fucking) Games for Windows Live store. It’s much cheaper just to buy the GOTY edition and try to transfer my save.

Oh, you don’t have the original on Steam? Fair enough.
The answer is yes, it will. It’s currently on flash sale for the next 12 hours for $13.59.
Woo! And only $40.79 for the 4-pack of Sins.
These flash sales annoy me. I have to find exactly the right time of the day to maximize my chances to get all the games I want on one transaction. Not like it matters that much to have an extra line item on my credit card statement, and I’m sure they make a ton more money that way getting people back to the site. It bugs me though.
At least I’m saving money. Now to buy Rebellion.
No. It was a valuable lesson to never buy a GFWL game unless it’s on a distributor that sells DLC at a steep discount.
Anyway, it worked. I’ll post in the Batman thread exactly what I had to do.

I just got a 4pack of Torchlight 2 with two copies claimed, if anyone has interest in the remaining two copies (7.50 each), pm me.
edit: all gone!

I have a question about Batman Arkham city. I played the Asylum one and at first I really liked it. There was a lot of exploring and sneaking around to accomplish goals. Then as the game went on, all that went away and it was just gauntlet of bad-guys after gauntlet of bad guys. All the sneaking and exploration dissappared. I was also not fond of the later boss fights which were nothing more than just large groups of support bad guys along with the boss.
So, my question is how did Arkham City turn out in that regard? If I didn’t like the latter party of Asylum, will I like Arkham city?

Yep, you’ll love the sequel, although the exploration is a bit different since you can travel the whole overworld from the get go, pretty much. It’s much more varied than the first game. It’s just a really really great game, $7.50 for the GOTY edition is a steal.

Does it still make sense to play Asylum or is it better to ignore it and go for City right away?

Just sent you a PM on this.
WTF, Steam? I paused my download of Max Payne 3 at 30 percent because I had to reboot the machine for a different purpose, then when I came back and resumed updating, all my download progress went away.
This happen to anyone else?
Got 2 spare copies of torchlight 2 as well.
All gone!
If you only have time for one, go with City, I guess. I enjoyed both, and actually liked certain aspects of the combat more in Asylum (being able to pick dudes up to throw them).
As part of the Cyber-Monday deals Amazon has a bunch of Xbox 360 AAA titles for $25 including Borderlands 2, Skyrim and XCOM.
Dishonored for the 360 is $30.
Diablo 3 for PC is $35 (physical media, free shipping).
(Note, these deals are active now, no need to wait until tomorrow.)
PMed you for a copy to give to a friend, go read!!! :D

Play Asylum. It’s a tighter and arguably better game. And if you like it you’ll want to play both.
I really dislike crysis 2… which sucks since the engine kicks ass.

I liked Arkham Asylum better because I preferred the gradual addition of the equipment / moves.

Thanks for that recommendation. My gaming backlog grows.
It looks like XBLA’s Cyber Monday deals are in effect. Shadow Complex is 800 pts (normally 1200).

I didn’t check the prices, but there are a couple of other items that should be on sale. Expendables, Real Steel, and some L4D2 DLC.
