That is a crazy deal!
I bought the game + DLCs full price on Steam a while ago (as I feared they might be gone due to the legal situation) and put over 100 hours in them (clearing all achievements).
Not regretting having paid full price (I never do apart from retail Collector’s Editions and some Indies usually).
It’s the closest you can come to single player WoW that you can get so far.
Highly recommended if you like the art style and setting of WoW!
Syndicate for $4.99 (Origin)
Hmm, I don’t recall many reviews being positive for this, any Qt3ers own it and want to chime in on what they thought about it?

Do I have to download this from amazon, or does it come with an Orign code that I just input into the Origin client?
Strangely enough, while I don’t have access to Steam USA, I do and have been able to buy digital games from Amazon USA.

According to CAG it looks like Origin keys.

Thanks :)
looks like I’m just about done with my game shopping. Now just need to find someone to help me get cough Iron Brigade cough from Steam. Blasted region lock.

I actually liked it. It has great production values (the visuals and, especially, the sounds are excellent) and the levels combined shooting with your ability to “breach” (overload computer systems) to good effect. It’s on the short side, so it’s not much of a commitment. The story is bad.
I’d say if you want a brief, but intense sci-fi shooter, it’s a good deal. I played it through twice and had a real good time. It has an awesome co-op mode, too, but no one plays it anymore.
It may look like WOW, but it plays nothing like it. Just want to clarify for other readers. Reckoning is more like an action game than the hotbar-fest that is WOW combat.

I didn’t no. I have a DropBox account and I dump all of my app installers into a folder in there for safe keeping. I hope that means I’ll have them forever but … well, I’m hoping anyway. :)
Thanks. I did grab this (Manga Studio EX4) last night, since it wasn’t clear when they would yank this amazing price. $30 is well below my price point. They’d had it on sale before for $99, which was tempting. $30 is a no-brainer, so again I appreciate the heads up.
I did buy it without download service, and actually was thinking of DropBox as well. Is it sufficient just to save the installer? Or does the entire download need to be saved?
One game that didn’t go on sale yet is Dirt 3 complete. I almost got Dirt 3 a few months ago when it dropped to $10, but the DLC for that game actually sounded like good content and they had just released Dirt 3 complete. But the latter package just never came down in price as far as I know. Even the new Need For Speed and the superlative Forza Horizon are dirt cheap this holiday but Dirt 3 complete? Nothing.
(Just a platform note I buy the Dirt games on 360 first, and then PC later because I find them to be better couch experiences first, but then later good podcast listening games on the PC).
Anyone has any comments for sonic generations and sniper elite v2? Are they any good?
Playing a rogue in both games I don’t see huge differences in combat sorry.
In WoW I press “2” (sinister strike) a lot and then once in a while my finishers / cooldowns via mouse. In Reckoning I press the left mouse button a lot and string combos.
Reckoning even has a (semi-)working stealth mechanic + extra damage coming out from stealth.
Casters might be different compares to Reckoning I guess. Nevertheless there is a demo I think (at least there was one before release).
Just based on the demo for Reckoning I’d say the gameplay has more in common with Fable 2 than WoW.
The reason the demo turned me off is that despite the good combat gameplay, the setting and quests make the world feel like an MMO.

My kids and I had great fun with Sonic, and I bought at twice the current sale price. A couple of the “3D” levels are a bit m’eh, but most of the levels are a lot of fun and plenty reminiscent of classic Sonic. Fun storyline that bridges the classic and modern Sonic mythos in unexpectedly interesting ways (though, fair enough, I wasn’t expecting much). If you count all the challenge levels, there is plenty of content, too.
Thanks alot for the feedback. Looks like I’ll be getting it during this sale :)
Yes it feels like an MMO devoid of other players.
Also the “crafting” is bad as well as “loot” mostly and the inventory is a catastrophy on the PC (as it was designed for consoles).
What is pretty cool is that you can change your whole char totally erasing your skills AND class if you wish so.
It actually makes sense storywise as you are the only person in that universe that has his/her fate not pre-determined.
I will not spoil the exact reason why. You will find out following the main storyline.
So you can switch from a warrior to a mage simply by visiting a Fateweaver and paying some gold.

So it looks like we had a little bit of confusion in bundling up before - I still have one slot left in a Torchlight 2 4-pack. If you’re interested in picking it up for $7.50 (that’s $2.49 in savings!), please PM me.

I don’t know. The installer is all I ever ran so … probably. But I just grabbed all the files and threw them into DropBox anyway. I’ll probably never need the media and tone and whatever else files, but it’s good to have them preserved.
Does the Amalur DLC just become a quest in the main game, or do you play it separate like an expansion?
They are like expansion packs with completely seperate story lines.
Both start with quests to go on “expeditions”.
The Pirate DLC sends you to an island and for a couple of hours you will not be able to go back / access your “bank”.
The other DLC sends you to a different part of the map which is opening up. I think you can port back home while on it from the start though but I’m not 100% sure.
Note:
I started the Pirate DLC around level 15 (as I read that the rewards are useless if you go in later) and found that it somehow BROKE the leveling progression once I went back into the main continent (I had outleveled the mobs I was supposed to kill next to progress the story lines).
I started the 2nd DLC once I finished the main story line / side quests at max level and it was fine.
So my advice would be either go in as soon as you can access the Pirate DLC (I think level 10) or go in after you completed the main game.
You will get loot which is useless to you but won’t break the main game’s progression / difficulty curve.
I liked the Pirate DLC more than the other but I might have been exhausted of the whole game once I started it (I put around 100+ hours in the game).

They get added to your quests in the main game.
