I tried the free version of Majesty (non-HD) on Gamersgate VOID and really liked it, so from that I decided to buy this pack as well, since I already wanted Warlock and now I know I’ll likely get value out of the Majesty games too (rather than waiting for the inevitable $7.50 Warlock Collection on Steam including the new Armageddon expansion; I figure if I want Armageddon I can pay the $3 or wait for $.75 in a sale).

Is November 31 the new February 29?

Let’s hope not. What type of moron places an extra day (once! every four years!) right in the smack of winter instead of, say, mid-summer when we could properly take advantage of it?

So if I bought one of the Pardox bundles from Amazon, can I give away the games I already have?

Yes. Amazon gives you individual Steam codes for each line item.

I hear that the new November patch isn’t calendar compatible, so you’ll probably have to restart your year.

So basically I just send a “giftee” the code for the individual product in an email or something? Because if I just activate it on Steam it’ll be associated with my account.

Yes, just send the code to them.

For games which you get in your inventory (rare) you send the gift from your inventory page.

Gamersgate’s latest Indiefort is trying a new spin on bundling. Five week-long bundles of four games, each starting at $4, but dropping by $1 for each one you’ve already bought. So if you get all of them, it works out to 20 games for $10.

Apparently quoting breaks the internal links, but the list herehas links to each of the individual games’ store pages.

Looking at that list, I see 2 games I’ve heard significant positive buzz about (SPAZ and Hegemony Gold) one that I’ve heard was an interesting but failed experiment (Achron) and 17 that I have no idea about one way or another. Anyone have thoughts or impressions about any of them? I’m torn between just getting week 2 or going for the whole shebang.

Oh, and week 1 ends tomorrow, so grab it fast if you’re interested.

Spas is really fun. Certainly worth $4

Oh, yeah, I should have mentioned that I already had SPAZ from a previous bundle, so it doesn’t play into the decision.

Strange bundle… I wish they wouldn’t have included games that were just in other bundles/indiegamestand. Indiegala just did the same thing too. Passing because I don’t want to buy the same games twice in two weeks. -___-

Surprised they haven’t even made 600 sales though. It’s a great deal.

Re: Bundles, coming soon:

Just received this email from IGN:

Dear IGN Prime members,

I got this email even though I had immediately cancelled the IGN Prime.

You forgot the best part-the awesome subject line (About that Gamersgate Discount…) and a picture of a cringing cat! It’s almost enough to make me forgive them.

As someone who was a Prime member for about five seconds, I never felt there was anything to forgive on my end. I got free games, and 15% off a bunch of other games, and they got nothing at all from me. If they want to cancel my access to the latter, oh well.

You’re hurting on the inside. Please share your feelings on their Facebook page. While you’re there, be sure to click the Like button on everything.

Battlepaths looks like a cute graphical roguelike. Anyone played this? Seems like it’s worth a try for $1.

EDIT: Played it for half an hour. Wicked fun so far. Gotta get back to the game now. xx

Is there some service (a la Appshopper) that will tell me when a specific game on demand on Xbox Live goes on sale?

Wow, that looks cool, thanks for the tip!

Humble Bundle Ahoy!

This time, it’s a Humble THQ Bundle. The games are…
