20 times??!!

There is an easy setting.

Well…maybe for 3 bucks and change…

You use keyboard and mouse or controller?

Intrusion is the perfect game for anyone who has played Contra or Metal Slug and thought:

  1. I really hate precise controls. One button to shoot, one button to jump? Screw that noise! I want 360 degree shooting and a really floaty character.

  2. I hate how stuff dies when I shoot it. I want everything to take at least 5 bullets to kill, but upgrade crates should take at least 10.

  3. I wish this game had more block pushing or boulder rolling puzzles. I hate that I can just jump up on platforms. Wtf! I want to push stuff around so I can get all up in there!

  4. I hate ears. I want to hear the same 20 second generic rock loop played over and over.

Are you describing Intrusion or Intrustion 2?

I guess that’s the case for the prosecution. I won’t deny any of these things. It’s totally physics driven, which means that there are oddities in behavior and physics based gameplay that doesn’t always mesh with shooting, and just as many annoying emergent physics problems (this flopping tree is in my way!) as cool emergent moments.

Riding on the giant wolf is a great thermometer for the game, I would think. It’s both awkward and awesome at the same time. Kinda wonky, for sure, but also really impressive, when you watch it claw its way up a ledge. I love it. But it doesn’t feel like most other video games would have it feel.

Amazon is running Gold Box videogame deals all day today. All day they have Just Dance 4 for $22.99.

Hints suggest an Epic Mickey game will be on sale at 1pm PST, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted at 5pm PST. Might be worth checking the link above at those times if you’re interested.

Thanks for the heads up! I missed JD4 during Cyber Monday.

This settles it. Someone arrest the developers and charge them with crimes against ragdoll physics.

Oh, but they’re SEXY crimes

Forgot to comment on this. I liked the wolf but when I finished the demo, I decided I had seen enough. Most people can probably just do that.

33% off Playstation Plus 3 month subscription. On offer until this Sunday.

It’s part of a “12 deals of Christmas” string of deals:http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2012/12/03/the-12-deals-of-christmas-2/
Also, Battlefield 3 download for a reduced ridiculously high price!
(EU only?)

EU only. Between this and the PS Plus offerings for the month, SCEE has been providing excellent values and making this side of the pond look pathetic.

Newegg has 1 year xbox live subs for $40, and a couple bucks off ms points cards as well. Not a world-beating deal, but decent if you need it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16874103299

Um, this is DEFINITELY not true, I don’t think, unless you didn’t like what you played. The boss battles (I don’t think any of them are in the demo, are they?) are incredible. And according to Destructoid, the final boss battle is spectacular.

The new Indie Royale bundle has some interesting contents:

Greed Corp – Turn based strategy (I thought it was well done, but never hooked me)

Hamlet – Weirdo adventure game? (I saw middling reviews)

Bit.Trip Runner – Endless runner, bit.trip style

Conquest of Elysium 3 – Turn-based strategy fantasy (this is what I bought the bundle for!)

Leave Home – Abstract shooter

They Breathe – Bleak, artsy frog game?? (Anyone played this?)

There’s a minimum to pay that usually hovers around $5.

Just noticed Vessel is $5 on Steam right now. One of my games of the year.

GMG has a 30% off voucher at the moment: GMG30-DEC01-ARFC9

Expires tomorrow. I grabbed Scribblenauts for $21.

You like everything!

Nuh-uh!

:p

It’s also one of my games of year! Does it help?

No more puzzle platformers!
