How do we know you’re really stusser? Who IS stusser? How deep does the rabbit hole go?

I’m not! I’m like Sybil, I use different account names everywhere, out of a misplaced sense of vague paranoia, because I’m not doing anything remotely interesting to anyone. I even bore my mom, when we speak on the phone every Sunday!

But how do you know that’s your Mom and not a redirect? It pays to be careful.

She has a very particular inflection to her voice when she asks why I’m not married yet, you can’t miss it.

Is it true that Stusser’s Mom has got it going on?

This is strange. I bought Dead Island last night and PayPal sent me an email saying GMG refunded the $4.29 back to me. Essentially they cancelled the order, with no explanation. What the heck?

Mercy killing. Zing! I’m here all week folks!

Weird, Gordon. I too used PayPal to buy DI as well, and as of yet no email.

I didn’t use paypal. After checking out on the GMG site, they provided up a serial code, which I put into Steam and added to my library. No email required.

Nonono, I mean no email of a refund like Gordon got. I too got the code and such like you.

Street Fighter X Tekken is 75% off in Steam-yland making it about $12.50 - last time I dipped into Capcom fighterland it was Street Fighter 4. Is this considered a good iteration, or would dusting off SF4 be just as good? And what’s the deal with the DLC - there’s talk about more characters somewhere - is that included in this? Or would waiting till The Future when there’s a megabundle be the better idea?

Help me Qt3, my wallet seems to want to have its monies spent! There’s also the (previously posted) Amalur deal and Torchlight II for 50% off on Gamersgate all crooning…Amalur > Torchlight? Vice-versa?

From Eurogamer:

THQ is giving away the PC version of moody first-person shooter Metro 2033 for free.

All you have to do is like the Metro Facebook page. Once done, reveal the Steam code, load up the app and download the free copy of the game for Windows PC. The offer runs to 16th December 2012.

They’re pretty different… both action RPGs, yes, but Torchlight is the mouse-driven clicky kind, while Reckoning is the controller-driven melee kind. I prefer Reckoning, myself. $15 is a decent deal if you’re in the mood for a mostly mindless actiony romp. Just put it on hard and ignore most of the sidequests. It’s not a required game or anything, though.

Also, both games have demos on Steam.

Playstation Network EU / Aus is on fire, or at least on a slow burn, again - 50% or more off on a selection of, mostlty middling, downloadables. Most notable to me are
Deus Ex HR for 7.49
Mini Ninjas for 10.=
Game of Thrones for 20.=
F1 “less fun than Mario Kart” Race stars at 25.=
and a bunch of Sleeping Dogs / Hitman Absolution DLC.
Also, the universally slammed brand new Family Guy game.

Big sale over at GOG.com
50% off almost anything it looks like, and a heavily discounted Bullfrog bundle.

Also, Duke 3d for free

Yaaaaaaay!

Heh, looks like the two Baldur’s Gate games are among the (very few) exceptions from the sale. Still, looks like I’ll be cleaning up the rest of my GOG wish list as well as a bunch of things that I probably wouldn’t have bought otherwise.

Keep in mind that the Bullfrog deal is just the first of some number of daily deals, so you might as well hold off and see if more stuff you want goes on a bigger discount before the end.

Theme Hospital, Bioforge, and Freespace 2 all 50% off and waiting in my wishlist. I guess I’ll wait and see if any of them get a bigger discount, but probably the daily sales will be like the Bullfrog one where the discount is only bigger if you buy a whole package of stuff…

Ugh, more deals of the day. I hate having to wait to the end of a sale to make sure I get the best price. What a lousy system.
