You’ll take the daily deals and LIKE it, says your wallet.

It seems GMG has retroactively changed the expiry date for the 35% survey discount: now it expires already on Dec 14th.

Does anybody know if this code works for one transaction or only for 1 game?

The site says one use. Edit: And GMG codes only ever apply to one item in the basket, which is really annoying when it’s unlimited use.

It looks like you have to buy the entire bundle to get 75% off. I like some of those Bullfrog games, but some I’d never play.

In other words unless there’s a bundle you want the 50% off is probably as good as it gets.

Risen 2 is $10 on Greenman Gaming. Steamworks.

P.S.
The GOG sale is going to be the best sale of the season. Can I buy Silent Storm on Steam? Fuck no. Can I buy Battle Realms on Steam? Fuck no. Can I buy Imperialism on Steam? Fuck no. Can I buy Startopia on Steam? Fuck no. Etcetera. This is it, people.

I can’t seem to apply GMG 35% Winter Survey vouchers to Bioshock Infinite pre-order. Has anyone successfully do so?

On the Bioshock Infinite page it says vouchers aren’t valid on it.

I seemed to remember upthread that someone has done so :(

The funny thing is that at least last year GoG did do the same (drop nearly their whole catalogue to -50%) but it generated relatively little buzz.
This year I put everything above $5.99 at release on my wishlist counting on the sale and here it is again. :)

GMG has King Arthur II for $2.49 (use vouchers to get it cheaper)

I’ll add it to my backlog at that price.

There’s a whole bunch of Populouses (Populi?) On sale at Gog. Which one is the best?

Populous 2. POP1 is a museum piece. Populous: The Beginning isn’t Populous, it’s an RTS on a sphere. POP2 is wonderful.

Hmm…

Is Populous 2 super ugly at this point? While I don’t need great graphics I have a hard time playing many of these old games at this point.

GOG’s new daily deal is Witcher 2 for $7.50. Is that the cheapest it’s been? I think I’ll go ahead at that price.

I’d say that Populous 2 is only slightly less of a museum piece than Populous 1. Neither game really holds up anymore, in my opinion.

I’m pretty sure it is the cheapest I’ve seen. Heck, even I’ll bite at that price.

Agreed. Like most Bullfrog games actually, the draw of Populous 2 is very brief, and then it gets into the territory of extreme repetitiveness. I played quite a few levels as a kid, and got bored of flattening and raising individual squares of land to make my people grow. Using powers is fun, but you have to do too much annoying work (that has nothing realistic to do with growing your people) to get there.

The problem I have with gog is that these really old games should not go for 5 or 10 dollars in the first place. Their full price should be around a dollar or two. I’m ok paying $5 for Dungeon Keeper 2, but not for Populous. So when they give me a bundle where a bunch of ancient games are $1.75 each, that’s not much of a deal to me.

Does this get a steam key as well? Or just download from GOG?

Just GOG.
