A warning about Jade Empire:

I bought it on a Steam sale a couple of years ago. There is apprently no way to get it to run under Vista.

I’m running it under Vista 64 with no problems. YMMV

I can run Jade Empire (via Steam) in Vista 64 without problem once I turn off UAC.

I ended up buying this. It is fun, although rough around the edges. i need to see if there is an enclosed readme or something because the game doesnt tell you anything. I don’t think i like the night time mechanics as they saw undead spawning all around me, no matter what. I was in what i thought was a decent position, in a building and undead just started spawning both inside and outside.

There isn’t enough feedback in general either. I tried to really baby sit my squad, but and they were doing really well. Then i lost two people instantly from i dont know what. I’m not sure if this was scripted or just a fast attack killed them before i noticed. After this my remaining two guys were fine for a long time until some night time ambush all around me.

GamersGate have Fallout 3 GOTY at 75% off (£2.49 UK), which is the cheapest I’ve seen it.

Perhaps they’re trying to preempt the Steam Sale.

Heh, thats what I am playing now. The Fallout 3 GOTY edition with most of the mods from the following video series:

I am having loads of fun. However I recently got some power armor from the Anchorage DLC and my Damage reduction is like 85%. It is kind of hard for monsters to put any kind of hurt on me. I am not sure if I should ditch the armor or not. It definitely seems over powered.

The game is pretty easy, but fun. I picked up Dogmeat as a companion and he barely takes damage he just savages enemies while I choose which one to kill. I did get various sets of power armour, BoS and Enclave, but haven’t found the guy who teaches you how to use it yet.

Makes a nice change from getting my ass handed to me in Deus Ex HR :)
