It’s a really well-done GTA-like, it’s gorgeous, and its mélée combat engine is one I can only hope makes it into GTA V (with the Euphoria animation engine…drool).

I think I got the gamersgate bundle to work. I had an email confirming the order from last night that I followed with the $28 price. Paypal took it and it’s now in my account with a receipt for $28 and it’s showing up on my list but without keys. So fingers crossed that I got lucky.

I played the PSN demo briefly and don’t remember thinking much of it but who knows. My PSP has gotten little use since I bought it.

I played it on the 360 and really enjoyed it. The thing is, it’s really a puzzle game. Most levels have multiple solutions that branch the story. There are a lot of different ways you can progress through the game, and there are a lot of clever mechanics buried in there.

I can see how it might not be for everyone, but I had a lot of fun with it.

There are a bunch of different modes in the game as well. Once you defeat the RPG you’ll start unlocking the twin stick shooter, the RTS, etc. Just don’t play with the pug-fugly “HD” art turned on.

GG has Gothic 3 Gold for $3.74. I know there were problems at launch, but is it worth it now? I can pretty much cover that with blue coins, so it’s a matter of time, not money.
