Odd. I was going for that specific bundle yesterday but it was not available to me. All of those 12/26 promos went unused for me.
The Amazon 2K discount wasn’t active on the same day as the others; only good from today. I think.
I’m gonna pick up the WTF pack from Amazon for $4.99 (with my $5 off on 2K bundles, which is indeed good from today until 12/31). I don’t have either Borderlands or Darkness II, and I can ignore Duke Nukem Forever.

For anyone that wants a gamepad for their PC gaming, Amazon’s lightning deal at 1:00 PST is a 360 gamepad.

Strongly recommend wired for anyone planning to do gamepad gaming on PC. This thing eats batteries.
Plus I have heard that wireless 360 controllers are less reliably supported.
Yeah, I think going wireless with something like that is just asking for more headaches. I know some people play on their HTPCs with big ass TVs from 20 feet away, and I guess in that case it’s understandable, but in a desktop PC situation just bundle up most of the cord and be done with it.

Do 360 controllers eat batteries when you don’t even use them? My batteries die even when I’ve hardly used the controller at all.

Nah, works fine. I use it myself and recharge with the plug and charge cable thingie. There’s just no compelling reason to go wireless with a desktop computer in the first place, since you aren’t sitting on your couch.
sword of stars 2 enhanced edition $7.49 @ amazon. keys work on steam.

Oh but there is. Wires suck. Tangled mess.
And, I have a 25’ HMDI cable that plugs into my downstairs TV so I can couch game with my PC.

They use up batteries at a decent clip, but I don’t think it’s that bad. I have some rechargeable AAs that I cycle through.
PS - The Microsoft Play and Charge Kits are junk… you end up charging all of the time in my experience. I’ve heard similar anecdotal accounts as well.
I charge my wireless xbox controller via USB cable, I get quite a few hours out of it at a time, maybe 8? Seems reasonable to me.

Is this gamepad still usable, while charging like that?
Also, is there any lag in the controls, when you’re wireless?

Hard to believe someone at Gamersgate hasn’t lost/isn’t losing their job. In a comedy of errors this morning Borderlands 2 and Season Pass were originally dropped to 75% off each, then moved up to 50% off, but the BL2 4-pack managed to end up at $11.25. Ghost Recon Future Soldier also got the 93% off treatment and was under $3 for the Deluxe edition. After the Bethesda Collection error and now this, I seriously wonder how their financials are looking because you have to assume Bethesda/2K/Ubisoft aren’t going to pay for the losses here – plus the huge traffic spikes when the whole internet was hammering them trying to take advantage of the mistakes.

That explains why I can’t load their site now. What a clown show
