Not likely seeing as they’re refunding them now. I got my Bethesda bundle refunded this morning.
Are they allowed to do that? I thought they had to honor the advertised price?
Hell, sorry, had no idea.
That’s what I thought too. They honored mine, thankfully.

The only way to win is not to play.
GamersGate? Making mistakes and screwing over customers in the process? You don’t say!
If it was a mistake in the first place, how did GamersGate screw customers? If the purchase is invalid, the customers (as stated in the previous post) get back their refund. Status quo. So how did the customers get screwed again?
You’re right. They definitely have their hearts in the right place, and it’s not as if they’ve never screwed up before. Oh, wait.
They could have eaten the loss and honoured the mistake. So maybe they didn’t screw over customers, but they have proven once more that they have no interest in providing good customer service. EDIT: In my opinion, of course. They’re still in business so they may be doing something right. Anyway, enough crapping in the bargain thread for me.

I don’t know what to think about the state of my order of the Bethesda bundle. Paypal took the money today, but the bundle isn’t listed in my account anymore. I sent them an email to find out what is going.
Sure they have. But I prefer their mistakes to the impeccable professional Steam sales. If Gamersgate screw up, hey the customers win. If they decide not to own up to their mistakes, no big loss - status quo. I treat it as a game which is all upside and no downside for the customers. How is this screwing customers again?
The post by Brian Rubin up above proved that they did honoured some of their mistakes. How is this screwing customers again?

I’ll just chime in and say that I’ve only had good experiences with Gamersate’s customer service. Probably the best download service I have used, in that regard.
I’m not sure how I feel about seeing people taking gross advantage over a mistake and then crying when it’s taken back. A strange ethic is hanging around here.

I managed to activate Dishonored and Skyrim - the others are sitting unactivated on my Shelf…don’t think they’ve refunded me anything, but I’m curious to see if they distribute keys for the rest at some point.

What if you had already activated the keys in Steam?
Yeah. I’ll happy try to snap up a price mistake. But, if it is denied, I’ve got no beef with the company (assuming I get a refund). The company deciding to honor a mistake is a PR decision, not a choice between screwing and not screwing the customer.

The whole thing is being terribly handled. Plenty of people are complaining that they were refunded minus any Paypal fees, which is a legitimate complaint – being out both the games and some cash – but I can’t imagine the fees are very high. My order for Ghost Recon Future Soldier was cancelled, and I never got a refund of the blue coins I used to pay. Others are saying they redeemed most/all of the keys and still got a refund. The absolute lack of communication regarding these refunds is something that GamersGate needs to remedy quickly because people have no idea what is going on and if they should be expecting a refund, or games revoked from their Steam account, or anything.
I’m sure it is probably mentioned elsewhere already, but Tell Tale’s Walking Dead XBLA episode 1 is FREE today (December 28th) and episodes 2 - 5 are 200msp each (50% off of the normal 400msp). I believe this even brings the price of the whole season below that of this year’s Steam sale.
I needed 30 minutes to buy a product in the GMG site. Terrible user experience. Basket was buggy and sometimes it appeared empty or remembered the previous items I deleted previously, pages didn’t finish loading, it was very slow in general, and once canceled my checkout because my bank wasn’t compatible with them… even before I entered the credit card info! wtf
That’s an interesting question. I missed out on their gaffe, but that could get rather sticky. I’d suppose that the Steam keys would still be fine unless the publisher has some arrangement worked out with Valve to purge them, but I doubt such a thing exists. Afterall, they were purchased legitimately so no fraud or theft was involved. What I’d worry about is if the keys are recycled, but I assume (perhaps wrongly) that the publisher is smart enough to avoid that particular mess.
