I can’t think of a better use for 3740 blue coins right now so I’ve picked it up. Another game to add to my backlog.

That’s a lot of gaming time for $4.

I’m seeing $3.74.

Speaking of GamersGate I noticed when I woke up that Risen was $5.00. After coffee I decided the time was right to finally bite, and went back to buy it, only to find it not for sale, but given to me for free in something called a Void Slot (??). Only it doesn’t unlock until mid January(???)

Anyone know what that’s all about?

In other news, Port Royale 3 for $10. Yes or no?

You get the game for free in your Void slot, but you are forced to watch some ads each time you boot up (though not in mid-game). Its an odd service that I’m not sure GG is even really pushing anymore, and the ads are for things woefully out of date.

Santa in Space bundle ($15)

Moonbase Commander
Fragile Allegiance
Nexus: The Jupiter Incident
Star Control 1+2+3
Master of Orion 1+2
Haegemonia Gold Edition
Independence War Deluxe
Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos

No wonder AVG threw a hissy fit when I tried to install it. I’d rather pay $5 when it comes down again.

Hitman for $20 on Amazon. Looks to be the Steam version. Worth it?

This web site is priceless, if only for the ‘Backlog Rate’ stat!

Thanks!

A) Yes.
B) It’s a Steamworks title, so it’s going to be the Steam version anywhere you buy it.

You might want to hold out until January 1 or January 2. It might be an EC class game in Amazon and you can get it for 15 USD instead.

I asked about that in the Steam thread because it has a terrible meta-critic score. Someone told me it was a truly horrible game, however PR2 is pretty good and on sale (On steam) for $2.49. Be warned though, PR2 is locked at 1024x768 resolution. I am doing the tutorials still, so I can’t comment on the game too much yet.

PR2 is even less now. Its like only $1.74 :)

I read that it didn’t run on systems later than XP, but I guess for less than $2 I can afford to take a chance.

GMGhas Sonic Generations for $5.25 after the 30% code.

and

Cities in Motion Collection for $8.75 after the 30% code.

the 30% off code: GMG30-DPLIM-DN831

The German reviews I’ve seen say PR3 is actually pretty good (-> scores consistently in the low 80s). There’s just not much reason to buy the new game if you already have Patrician 4 or are happy PR2’s graphics.

That’s the biggest issue with those two series, very little is ever changed or updated.

I am interested in a trading game, and Patrician 4 is at 75% off as well, so which is the best if you don’t have PR2, PR3, or Patrician 4?

I don’t feel qualified to answer this, because I haven’t touched a trade game in years.

What does EC class mean?
