I believe the Thief versions on Steam are basically the same as the recent GOG releases. They should run with minor issues “out of the box” and should be complimented by ddfix and Tafferpatcher, respectively.
Source: many threads on the Steam forums, here’s an example.
My appshopper wish list alerted me to a ton of iOS sales tonight. I looked into it, and it seems that there is an indie developer sponsored sales event called “Because We May” across multiple platforms, including the App Store, Google Play, Steam, and direct from the developers. Sales run May 24th through June 1. Lots of great indie games.

I keep reading this as ‘asshopper’…which is probably not the most useful of apps I imagine.
Phew, glad I’m not alone with the double take I had to do there.
Dead Island is great, buy it.
And if someone says “I only liked the first part of the game, the resort” (which is only 1/4 of the game!) it means they really don’t like the game, they only liked as it was something new, once the feeling of novelty wore off, they noticed they really didn’t like it.
And the city is the best part of the game.
Memorial Day sale at GamersGate. One of the featured games is Sid Meier’s Civilization V: Game of the Year Edition at 80% off.
This coming weekend will also feature the Company of Heroes series at 80% off.
Yes but there is also Memorial Day Weekend in the US.
EA slashed most / all of their games for example due to this and there will be more coming up to the weekend I’m sure.

That sounds great except for the fact that the list price for the GOTY edition is 90 fucking dollars on Gamersgate. What the hell?

That’s remarkable given that Gamersgate listed CIV V - GOTY for $29.99 as recently as last week according to google. A bit of an extreme case of jacking the price to make your sale look better.
Including Rebuild for 99¢. Sold!
Metro 2033 is $4.99 at Gamestop. Worth it for anyone who wants to tax their new 670 :)
I don’t know. It shows $12.49 for me.
He’s saying GamersGate is claiming an 86% discount against an inflated retail price of $89.95 instead of $49.99 for a 75% discount.
->Because we May<- Indies serving up discounts.
Lots of greats, plus the awesome Vessel for only $10. Click the link, tons of games.
Including!
Cardinal Quest for $2
Dark Scavenger for $4
Defender’s Quest for $3
Avadon for $5
And much much more!

Defenders Quest is my all time favorite tower defense game. Check the art style before you buy to see if it rubs you the wrong way. But if you can deal with the art style, the game design is excellent.
New art design is supposedly on the way for Defender’s Quest.
@Mysterio: Thanks for that breakdown. It allowed me to parse through what I was missing for Civ 5.
Looks like GMG is matching the GamersGate Civ V prices (or is it the other way around? :-) ).
I guess prices haven’t been updated on STEAM yet, I am gonna get Vessel . :)
