Does S&S have some sort of vehicle you control? The real secret to Rescue Raiders was getting a good build order out, then being ready with your helicopter at crucial moments to save your convoy or to knock out the last few enemy vehicles to allow your demolition truck into the enemy base.
No, no vehicle to control, but some spells/powers that you use to supplement the action of you troops. Dropping Thor’s hammer down on a massed bunch of troops, rolling a huge boulder across the field, etc. perform the same role as your helicopter, I suppose.

Confrontation 50% off Steam’s Daily Deal at 19.99. Anyone tried this game and care to give a feedback?
Here’s our thread on it. Seemed not that interesting.
Damn, says currently unavailable. Would’ve so jumped on this.
You what’s a good deal? The Spirit Engine 2. It’s free! That’s how good a deal it is. You know what else is good, and free? DC Universe Online.
Try them.
Yeah, I just realized that and deleted my post. :D
Great, now I seem like a crazy person!
Amazon is supposed to have Syndicate for $18 tomorrow. Is Syndicate worth $18? The bit I’ve seen of the opening looks pretty and it looks like a decent-ish shooter, and I dig the setting at least.
From the Amazon thread on CAG:
"Breaking news:
Mass Effect 3 is moving to $25.99 for the standard and $34.99 for the deluxe. Tomorrow only…tell your friends .
Cheers,
Tony"

It was relatively easy, but kind of fun. It has been a while since i played it. Sometimes hard to time building units to get the match up you want. Worth it if its really cheap, just for something a bit different.
Have you enjoyed Starbreeze’s other games, even the ones (i.e. everything except Riddick) that a lot of people wrote off? Then you’d probably do okay paying $18. The coop’s supposedly better than the singleplayer.

For anyone who has the IGN discount at Gamersgate you can get the game even cheaper. I finally decided to grab it and it cost $10.60. Registerable on Steam of course.
This is indeed active today, and is pretty awesome.
Wow - that really is a heck of a deal!
