It works like Groupon. You claim the voucher and then it adds the coupon to your normal Amazon account. Order a 12-month Xbox Live Gold card prior to June 22, 2012, and you can get it for $35.
I live in Washington state and it worked for me.
Just got one as well here in Northern Virginia. I jumped on the deal, and assume that $35 is a good price.
Right?
It’s the price I’ve paid every year for my Live subscription because I wait for the deal every time. Normal MSRP is $50.

I picked up the bundle for Lone Survivor and the soundtracks for all the other games. That is a fantastic bundle if you somehow haven’t played Braid or Super Meat Boy yet.
Picked up Arctic War for $10 over at Gamers’ Gate (provides Steam key). Decision made by the release of the scenario editor for the game on Steam today. $10 sounds about right for what is basically an update of Fleet Command.
Steam has the entire Magicka collection for $6.25 today. All the DLC and everything appears to be included.
I don’t really need a reason, but you’ve given me one:
Only Scandinavians could come up with something as bizarre as Magicka:Vietnam.
Gamersgate has Sengoku for $4.50. Says it’s 50% off, but looks like a little bit more than that.

Gamefly has Shogun TW 2 for $8.99
If there is anyone left who was interested in but doesn’t own Mount & Blade the entire collection is the Steam daily special today for $8.74.
That’s a nice price on the original M&B, M&B Warband (which is the improved version) plus the Warband mod/expansion Napoleonic Wars and the mod With Fire and Sword (both of which add firearms to the mix). Tons of mods exist for noth original and Warband, though the game is fun all by itself without any mods needed. My only complaint about the sale is that Napoleonic Wars, the only bit I don’t own already, is only 50% off ($5) on it’s own, whereas everything else is 75% off if purchased separately. I know, I know, gamer entitlement! ;-)
Napoleonic Wars is multi-player only. I wonder- is it based on Warband, then? And I never bothered to check, but is With Fire and Sword single-player only?
I bought this some time ago: http://www.indiegala.com/
One of the games listed was Ninja Blade. I didn’t download or install it until yesterday because the title of the game was so horrendous. After a quick google before downloading it, I was shocked to see it was made by From Software, the guys who made Dark Souls.
I quickly installed it and hoped for the best. After playing for a couple hours I have to to say Ninja Blade slices through its terrible namesake. The combat system is highly accelerated compared to Dark Souls, but it’s every bit as good. As far as I can tell there’s no open world section to roam around in like they did in Dark Souls.
Ninja Blade is more focused on giving you different weapons and then putting you in one combat situation after another. You also have some pretty nifty ninja skills; like ninja flipping up a wall or the gravity defying wall running, but the combat is what really has me hooked. I might have to crank the setting up to Hard mode because I’m killing enemies with reckless abandon on Normal mode.
For someone like me who is eagerly awaiting the next Dark Souls type game this is like an early Christmas gift to tide me over until we get the next game.

Napoleonic Wars is based on Warband (it’s basically an updated version of the Mount & Musket mod for Warband). With Fire and Sword does have multiplayer and the options will be similar to what Warband offers.
Obviously Ninja Blade is not a perfect game, but neither is Dark Souls (x360). That stuff hasn’t bothered me. I’m actually really enjoying the game. I still hold that if you like games with good combat mechanics you’ll like this game.
RE:Dark Souls.
I need to stop reading here at this point, as it sounds like the worst PC port ever.
:|
And my one friend who made me pinky swear to get it day 1, is still frothing at the mouth for the PC release.
Hey, someone has to buy it day one. It might as well be you ;)
