Apparently Best Buy decided to sell those Metro Last Light codes for $0.01 last night too. No idea if any were successfully bought.
Oh, Teiman was involved with this?
I LOLed - does that make me a bad person?
That’s just making me want to buy the game!
I know! I want that guy to grab my ass, too!

This gives me hope it will show up during the Steam sale, 'cause I’m about to chew my fingers off waiting for a steep discount on a Steam copy. $7.50 isn’t exactly a steep discount but I might go for it anyway if it shows up.
So many things on sale that are tempting to me on Xbox Live this week. I’m not tempted by Capcom’s fighting games or Devil May Cry 4 for $5. Or Dark Void for $5. But I am tempted by Lost Planet 2 for $5. Since Tom kept raving about that. Or Azura’s Wrath for $10 (that weird anime QTE done well game that the guys over at Giant Bomb kept raving about for a while). Or Azura’s wrath DLC for 3.50. Or two extra cutscenes for the game for a $1 each. (Seriously, that’s what I discern from their description).
Or how about Assassin’s Creed 2 for free this month? Or Brotherhood and Revelation for $15 each? I wonder if I can find Revelation cheaper at Gamefly? I recently bought part 3 from them for 13.
Any recommendations
The only one of those I’ve played is DMC4, which I didn’t like. I bit on the Capcom Arcade Cabinet (17 classic arcade games) for 1200 points though.

I picked up Asura for $10. I’m really enjoying it so far. It’s production values are through the roof, and the situations you’re in during the first hour of play are so over the top they have to be seen to be believed.
Definitely think it’s worth it.
Hey Rock8man, remember how we talked about Dead Island, and how it’s a little MMO-ish? Well, temper your expectations if you end up buying Lost Planet 2. Now I’m not saying it’s bad, for what it’s worth I played through it and it’s kind of fun, but I’m pretty sure the main thing Tom liked about it was the ability to keep going through and grinding for characters and guns and expressions. And for $5, you’re not losing much. Just giving you a heads up.
And I am also pretty tempted by the Capcom Arcade Cabinet deal. I loved Game Room and I’m pretty sure I would get my money’s worth out of this.
A bundle with a bunch of hidden object games for $1.18.

Got an error when I tried to buy it earlier with paypal though.
You’re right Pogue. I ended up haaaating Dead Island with a passion because of its MMO feel. I’ll probably stay from Lost Planet 2.
Flyinj: Hmmm, I only have 1320 Microsoft points left. If I spend it on Azura’s Wrath and the DLC, that will be 1240 points. Hmmm, that might be perfect.

Jeebus, thanks for posting that! I wonder why MS makes it so hard to find out about stuff like this??
You don’t have to keep grinding LP2 if you don’t want to, though; it’s fine (& short) as a once-n-done game, too. For five bucks, think of it as a weekend rental; that’s how I played it. :-)

For those interested in Capcom Arcade Cabinet, Giant Bomb did some quick looks on it:
Edit: listed in order of pack release.
I agree with all that, but my point to Rock8man was that I believe it was the grind that was the main draw for Tom, he loved going back through missions multiple times to see what he would get. At least that’s how I remember it, he can correct me if I’m misstating his position. But I do think the game is totally worth $5.
Amazon has Dark Souls price matched, 15% discount code still available if you haven’t used it.
I agree. Did you get the previous free games? This started last month - Fable 3 and Defense Grid were free last month.
Lots of complaining on the webs about Microsoft’s offerings being weak compared to Sony’s but I didn’t have either of those two games so I’m happy (I really liked Fable 2 but after all the mediocre reviews of Fable 3 I figured I’d wait until it was really cheap and was just about to buy it recently for $10 but free is even better).

There’s been a “Games for Gold” feature on the dash since Fable III became free last month.
