There’s been a “Games for Gold” feature on the dash since Fable III became free last month.

Ugh, the dashboard is a mess now. Every once in a while I try to find the weekly deals and even that is a hassle. But I’ll try to remember to look for that. I did get Fable 3 (again, tipped from QT3 I think). Haven’t played it yet though.

I just follow Major Nelson on twitter to make sure I don’t miss any deals.

But for future reference, it will be a new free game every 1st and 16th each month this year.

Jebus effin’ christ. Those typify everything I hate about video reviews - or quick takes, in this case. They seem to be going out of their way to waste my time. They fill time with lame, unfunny jokes, they haven’t really examined the game before they started recording, they present what little information they have incoherently, and when they finally start showing the games, they don’t actually talk about the games.

Their quick looks aren’t really reviews, they’re just a bunch of dudes playing a game and chatting about it for an extended period of time. If you find their personalities annoying, you’ll hate them.

Um, to be at least slightly helpful, the new humble bundle is a bunch of Jim Guthrie albums (I only know Woody and Arlo), plus Sword and Sworcery EP and Indie Game the Movie.

There’s an Origin sale again (EU / Mexico / Brazil according to the fine print) - and this time it’s notable because it’s the first time ever in the history of online stores accepting European customers that I’ve seen The Sims 3, and its first few expansion packs (World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night), drop to €10.= each.

Other than that, it’s the usual assortment of back catalog games - Dragon Ages, Dead Space 1/2, Medal of Honors, Battlefields, Shift 2, old versions of sports games.
