I haven’t played it for a couple months so I’ve missed a couple updates, but based on what I played you’re better off just waiting. There are so many other games to play and this one is honestly just unfinished. It’s not that it’s unplayable or horrifically buggy or anything, but without more of the metagame and more features implemented it just feels aimless after a few hours (but again as a disclaimer, they could’ve added in many of these missing parts since I last played). I’ll be very excited to play it once it’s done because the core pieces in place are very engaging but until then I’m comfortable putting it on the backburner and would recommend that others do the same with so many finished great games out there!
I didn’t play the last update, but it’s not done! I put in 16 hours and got to all the toys.

$1 for Medal of Honor & Dead Space 3? Sure! (I have the rest already).

What the fucking shit?!
Well worth it for Dead Space 3 – one of my favorite games of the year.
That is a crazy bundle! Boughted. Guess I will try using Origin now…
This may be the smartest thing I’ve seen them do to promote Origin. Good strategy, bad cause…
If there were more Sims expansions included, I’d be in. It’s a great deal no matter what, but I’m not going to play most of those games.
The email says EA is donating their proceeds to additional charities. If that’s true it ought to have been the lead paragraph in the email to get beyond gamers’ dislike of EA and Origin, not to mention the weirdness of EA trying to do an indie bundle again.

Yeah, it’s all going to charity, and they get people to install Origin. Win/win.
New to me in that bundle:
Battlefield 3
Dead Space 3
Medal of Honor
Sims 3 Starter Pack.
I guess I’ll get it, though I’m guessing most of these will just get added to the back log. I haven’t played a Sims game since the original, which I enjoyed a lot (for a week, like Black & White, and then never felt the need to go back again). So what exactly is in the Sims 3 Starter pack, anyone know? Just the base game with no expansions, or not even the whole base game?

I basically got it for dead space 3, but floated them five bucks just because.
The sims3 bundle includes 3 expansions.

I heard that Battlefield 3 isn’t really worth it unless you buy the premium upgrade for all the extra maps and such. Otherwise you won’t be able to play half of the maps.

Actually, for most of the games you don’t even need Origin. Includes Steam keys where available.

The Sims 3 “starter pack” has The Sims 3, The Sims 3 Late Night Expansion Pack, and The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff. So, the base game, one expansion, and an item pack.
I might do it just to finally try out The Sims.

…and the Origin client is totally hammered. Can’t redeem anything. Perhaps this is really just a stress test for their client?
Yep. Half an hour trying to redeem a code, nothing.
A friend tipped me off to the bundle in a message titled “Origin Trojan Horse.”
Huh. My stuff registered and is d/l’ing, no problem. 2.2 MB/s, which I think is close to my limit.
