May have been mentioned previously, but BundleStars has Atomic Bundle #8 up right now for $5. It includes some noteworthy (if older) titles, all Steam keys:
[ul]
[li]Section 8
[/li][li]The First Templar (I already own this and found it enjoyable)
[/li][li]Legendary (looks pretty, but was apparently pretty awful)
[/li][li]Dream Pinball 3D
[/li][li]Disciples III - Resurrection (supposedly the decent Disciples 3 game)
[/li][li]Insecticide
[/li][li]Tropico Trilogy
[/li][li]Imperium Romanum : Gold
[/li][li]SpaceChem
[/li][li]and the hilarious Dino D-Day
[/li][/ul]
I’d say owning First Templar, Disciples 3 Resurrection, Tropico Trilogy and SpaceChem make the bundle worth $5. There is more than $1.25 worth of gameplay in each of those titles easily.

I’ve heard that Reincarnation is the decent Disciples game, not Resurrection. But I haven’t played either.
Ah, my mistake, I didn’t realize there were 3 of them. I knew Renaissance supposedly sucked, so I assumed Resurrection was the decent one. It gets better reviews than Renaissance on metacritic, though still only average overall.

I just picked up Thief: Deadly Shadows for $2.50 on Steam. Is it worth playing, considering that I have limited gaming time at the moment?

It’s a classic and a great game, but there are alot of newer great games out there. I think Dishonored is a great Thief type game although purists would probably disagree.
The problem is limited game time. Only you know what you have time for.

There was a physical box but it was a $100 special edition, if I recall correctly. The release was all-digital apart from that.
Ehh… it’s uneven. It has a “very good” level, a pair of “good” ones, and the rest is just decent with some mediocre stuff here and there.
I don’t think Deadly Shadows is nearly as bad as lots of others do, but it’s a step down from the first two. Definitely worth playing though.
Did I read somewhere that the Sims 3 thing was also going to add Date Night as a bonus?

The Humble Bundle site said as much yesterday (something to the effect that “Once we have the code for Date Night it’ll appear here”), but it’s strangely missing today.
Hm. I saw that message on my HB keys page as well, but yes it’s gone now.

… which means they have sorted the problem. I can see Late Night expansion in my Origin library.

Yes, but it’s not Late Night that’s missing. It’s Date Night.

I think it was a typo, it was meant to be Late Night all along.
I don’t think it could possibly have been a typo. They had links to the Date Night DLC and a code for it on the page. And this was on their Twitter yesterday:
Origin @OriginInsider 14 Aug
Trouble redeeming your Sims 3 Date Night DLC code? The code can be redeemed at http://thesims3.com Instructions: http://support.humblebundle.com/customer/portal/articles/1259953-sims-3-dlc---humble-origin-bundle …
Then it said they’d put the code back once they fixed whatever problem they were having. Now it’s just up and gone. I don’t really care that much if I get it or not, but they should at least say something about it.

The new Xbox Live Games with Gold is up – Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero.
Better than a kick in the nuts, I suppose.
I highly recommend Dead Rising 2: Case Zero to everyone. It’s short enough that starting over is not a problem, and it encapsulates the great Dead Rising gameplay in a nice bite-sized chunk so well. Personally I think it’s the best Dead Rising game of all. But then, I haven’t really given Dead Rising 2 and Off the Record a proper shot yet.
Did someone mention it before? RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3: Platinum for $5 (Steam code for PC/Mac)

You can get Skydrift for $3.39 on Steam right now, a nice flying cart-style racer. There’s a demo too. Fun stuff.
FYI, the 20-digit code Origin gives you (under Game Details) is still coming up as invalid when you try to register an account on the Sims website. It appears one can play the game offline though.
