Thanks Papageno - I was coming here to see if anyone else had this issue. Now I know it’s apparently everyone. Hopefully they fix it.

It’s baaack! On my page at least: “The Sims 3 Date Night DLC will appear here, after some technical difficulties are sorted out!”

The current Indiegamestand: https://indiegamestand.com/
is DROD RPG: Tendry’s Tale, pay what you want. DROD RPG is a different model of puzzle than the main series DROD games, about evaluating what the best paths and resource expenditures are rather than DROD’s careful sword placement, but it still maintains Caravel Games’ high standard of quality and is a steal for PWYW.

Groupees is running another big Meridian 4 bundle.

3 games for a dollar, $9 for the bunch but there’s some that aren’t even worth a quarter or the time to play them.

I think that they redid the way that The Sims 3 is redeemed through Origin. I grabbed part of it the other day and went back today and it was totally separate and different than before.

With it all installed, however – man… The Sims 3 is slow slow slow slow. Anybody know of a way to speed up the loading and saving? It takes 3-5 minutes to load a game and at least as much to save.

Yeah, if you go back to your Humble Origin Bundle download page you’ll find that the codes have changed, they’re all twenty digits now, and they’re different twenty-digit codes than the ones that Origin gave you if you already used the old 16 digit codes there. Bizarre. I played the (surprisingly addicting) main Sims 3 game today most of the day having used the new 20 digit code to register on the Sims 3 website and had no issues, apart from the slowness. BTW, I didn’t see any easy way to check what the modifier keys are–anyone find where that is? I’d like to be able to press a key when I want to rotate the camera or tilt the angle. Also, is there any modifying outfits once you’ve created your Sims? I noticed the chick I created goes to her professional law enforcement job barefoot every weekday.

I tried out Medal of Honor, picked up in the Humble Origin Bundle… What a vanilla boring game. I only put about an hour into it, however. Is there any reason to continue if I didn’t like the first hour? Otherwise, I’m going to uninstall.

Also, I’m pretty sure that the Origin client causes my computer to drop its wireless connection.

I haven’t played it, but the reviews for it indicate that it doesn’t get any better and that you should uninstall.

Let’s put it this way: a lot of people complain about Call of Duty’s lead-you-by-the-nose amusement park style campaigns. I still really enjoy them. I couldn’t get more than a couple levels into Medal of Honor because it does basically the same thing but without understanding what makes it work in Call of Duty.

Uninstalled it. Thanks for helping me avoid wasting time!

Big Rig Europe in this bundle is apparently Euro Truck Simulator 1. I don’t know if it’s anywhere near as good as the second. Steam Keys aren’t included, they used a different publisher for it on there.

I played through it over the weekend. You didn’t miss much. Was only 5ish hours and not really worth it.

New Indie Royale is up: http://www.indieroyale.com/

Retrovirus, Signal Ops, Zack Zero, Vox and Sol Survivor

Any impressions on any of them?

Signal Ops is a remarkably clever idea, and one that’s damn fun to play. If only it ran better on my flimsy bootcamp mac.

Been wanting to pick up Retrovirus and Vox, so this is great.

A bunch of places have the Vita for $199 now, including Best Buy and Amazon.

Sony also pushed the 12GB version of the Superslim PS3 out the door Sunday in North America for $199 if that is of interest. 12GB is not much space, but you can upgrade it with a standard 2.5" SATA drive, so if you’ve got an old laptop hdd laying around that might be a good option. It’s been out in Europe for a while.

Misread the post and bougth the bundle without looking because I mistook Sol Survivor for Lone Survivor which I bought last year from the developer and which I can’t download anymore (emails aren’t answered). Well then, let’s try Signal Ops…

Groupees has a new bundle starting at 3am EST tonight.

$5 for:

[ul][]Angelica Weaver Catch Me When You Can[]Depths of Peril[]Eador Master of the Broken World[]Ittle Dew[]Mini Motor Racing Evo[]Ring Runner Flight of the Sages[]Splatter[]Whispered World[/ul]

Holy crap.

What’s worth playing in this bundle? Ring Runner?

I think I read good things about Depths of Peril, but that’s superseded by Din’s Curse, right?
