Man, I hate Walmart with a flaming passion, but I’d do business with them for an $8 27" monitor of any meaningful quality. Pity I missed that. Probably they’re not going to honor that price, of course. But still. (Also something being out of stock could easily just mean so many people pounced on their error that their supply is entirely spoken for.)

I got an order confirmation e-mail, but when I went to the store to check it out the order number didn’t show up in their system. So it’s not looking good…

Edit - I checked my bank account and they did charge my card 46.91.

One Finger Death Punch is the next bonus in that $1 Groupees bundle.

Seen lots of positive comments about the game over here. :)

Same question. I’ve heard decent things about Call of Juarez, but I think that was the sequel instead. Legends of Dawn has an abysmal metacritic, and some comments I’ve seen about Face Noir weren’t so great.

The original Call of Juarez was pretty good. I enjoyed it and by letting you choose which brother to control it can play pretty differently depending on who you choose. Call of Juarez:Gunslinger is the new one and is also really good. It’s story mode is a lot shorter, but it has a neat score attack type mode too.

My memory might be failing me, but I could swear that the one thing I disliked the most in the original CoJ was that you could NOT choose which brother to control but rather had to constantly switch between brothers every other mission, where one brother had the gunslinger missions which were mostly very cool and the other brother had the sneaking/acrobatic missions which mostly sucked.
It’s a very cool game nonetheless, imo, but the latter brothers missions really dragged it down a bit.
At least that’s how I remember it.

I’m pretty sure we’re both right on that. There were a few sections where you HAD to play a specific brother, but most gave you the choice as far as I recall.

I only bothered ordering things that were listed as pick up today in my local store, and just came home from picking up GTA5 and WWE2K14. My order for Pokemon X and Disney Infinity wasn’t ready for some reason, so maybe it didn’t make it before the massive wave of cancellations. $20 was about my limit for thethe games I picked up, so this price mistake worked out nicely.

At least one guy could pick up “some” games:

Pokémon X was listed as being available today in my local store, but I got an email a short time after placing my order saying it had to be shipped to the store and would be available next week. No notice since then telling me it’s been canceled, but I highly doubt anyone else in my area would’ve even known about this “deal,” and I doubt this particular Walmart would’ve been out of copies of that game.

That said, I can’t check the status of my order because the Walmart site is completely down right now. Wonderful! (This also means that unless the site’s back up by 1:13 PM Central, I wouldn’t be able to cancel my order myself even if I wanted to.)

If you’re interested in pairing Shelter with some decent playable games, check out the current Majestic Indie Bundle on BundleStars.com.

$4.00 buys you Shelter, plus Mount and Blade, Majesty 2 Collection, Hoard Complete Pack, Crusader Kings Complete, Forge Starter Pack, Enclave, Rune Classic and Knights and Merchants.

I’d say M&B, Hoard, Majesty 2, CK1 and Knights and Merchants are far more fun than Legends of Dawn, Finding Teddy and Face Noir, though I do like Call of Juarez.

Steam deal of the day is the Anomoly Franchise $10.00 -60%.
This includes the newly released Anomaly Korea & Warzone Earth Mobile Campaign, which are $4.99 each no discount.

Actually in CoJ 1 it was Uncle hunting mixed-race Nephew, whom the uncle somehow suspected of killing his (the uncle’s) brother. I played it on the 360 and didn’t mind the Billy missions except for the stealth bits. I thought the acrobatic parts were kind of cool, actually.

You sure you’re thinking of this game? The main brothers were Ray and Thomas, (I preferred Thomas using the rifle) with their younger brother William (a priest) who I think you play briefly toward the end.

Bound in Blood is not the first game in the series. I can confirm what Papageno is saying about the original, as that’s the only one I’ve played.

He’s talking about Call of Juarez. The first.

How is Anomaly 2 in terms of replayability? I liked Anomaly, but I didn’t think it was great on replay because there wasn’t much reason to go back.

My order page now says that one of the monitors I ordered (the 23" HP IPS) has shipped. It says “processing” on the others. Fingers crossed!

My limited experience with Anomaly 2 suggests it’s more of the same. I decided I needed to finish the first game before continuing, so I put it on hold, but it’s the same basic game with new twists. The competitive multiplayer might add some replayability if you can find someone else interested in buying in alongside you, if that’s your thing.

I felt Anomaly worked better on mobile, where they removed the in-world avatar character that you controlled. I assume it’s back in Anomaly 2 PC, though, yeah?

Steam has Marlow Briggs at 75% off.

Reviews on it seem pretty decent.
