I got that when I tried to buy the MOO1+2 bundle but after a few refreshes the sale went through.
I haven’t checked payPal yet to make sure I only got charged once.
Yeah, you think that, at first.
Then, as you blink and miss things, you start to rage.
And finally, for me, I just found out that I have a C/C limit of 30 purchases per day. (Can not be increased. Not just for me, for anyone.)
That’s one stupid downside of this sale; having to buy each game individually. Hey GOG, maybe time to make/have a “wallet” we can pre-load? Want to stay relevant? Keep up with the Valves’ szzzzzzz.
So yes, from that, one can deduce that I purchased 30 games, and would have continued to buy, alas, the limit.
Man, their sales data from this are going to be really interesting. Hotline Miami is selling a lot slower this time around.
To be fair it was like 600 copies this time and I think it was 200 the first time around?
Sure, but like I said earlier, given the number of Steam sales and indie bundles that game has been in, is it possible that anyone who wants that game doesn’t already have it?

Well there are the resident Steam haters…
Yeah, I got “technical difficulties” messages while processing Tropico 3 and Jade Princess. I don’t think the payment(s) went through.
It occurs to me that this was a fairly risky undertaking. Potentially great unhappiness if it didn’t go so smoothly. As it is, it’s been fun both to watch and participate in.
Oh, sure—I’m not surprised by the slower sales second time around. I’m just saying there’ll be a lot to learn from the data.
And there’s HOMM V again :)
Well, they seem to just be repeating themselves now. I’ve spent waaaay too much time on this already…
My take:
Miasmata
Master of Magic
Rogue Legacy
TA: Kingdoms
King of Dragon Pass
Ultima Underworld 1&2
NWN Diamond
Witcher 2
Ultima 7 Complete
Tropico 3 Gold
Inquisitor
Not too bad for ~$30.
EDIT: Awesome! I guess one of those times I tried to get Planescape to go through, it did, cause it’s sitting in My Games. Nice!
Geez, I have 1 actual productive working day, and THIS HAPPENS!?!
GOG has been sitting on Rollercoaster Tycoon for the past 10 minutes it took me to catch up on this thread.
(I’ve mentioned this before, but personally I won’t buy anymore from GOG because I’ve not played more than 2 games I bought from there yet. It’s been like 2 years already…StarFlight is one of them.)
Speaking of sober-up threads…
Take it easy on the drive home, folks.
I got Defender’s Quest for free somehow (lucky click), and that’s it. I wanted Expeditions : Conquistador, but it sold out while I was trying to nab it. Everything else I either already own or would prefer to purchase through Steam to keep my games together as much as possible.
That was a hoot! I’m guessing given the repeats that it it unfolded quicker than they were expecting. Whatever, it seems to have worked. Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic, KB Crossworlds, HOMM III (which I played a ton years ago, but have since lost), and Torchlight for me. Such admirable restraint deserves a reward…
Finally got home, let’s see what you guys are talking about: Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum for $6 right now. And it’s going pretty slowly. Did I already miss the best stuff, it sounds like? It wouldn’t be the insomniac sale if this didn’t go on all night, right?
Grats on the freebie, that’s a fun one. Expeditions’ll probably be just as cheap this week or next week. There’s a package in the SteamDB about it being a potential bonus game in a bitcomposer bundle.
Seriously stuck on RCT3 right now. I grabbed Hotline Miami the first time around… in its 30 second or so window :)
The freebie availability is lolerific. Gone in like 10 seconds.
Jesus man, can you keep the Catholic guilt in the other thread?
Did I miss the second coming of Expeditions: Conquistador?
I would love to know this, too. Now that we’ve been on Retro City Rampage for a whole 1st period of the hockey game.
Yeah, Expeditions: Conquistador was the featured game for a while. It took a long time to move those units from what I saw at the time. When I came back, it was Retro City Rampage.
Gah! Stupid dinnertime. Well, how about Rogue Legacy?
