Thanks. I already picked a couple up online today at Best Buy for $15 each. Gamestop should be the same price tomorrow, and Target supposedly has them for $10 as a doorbuster, but I don’t anticipate they will match that online.
I was hoping Amazon would price match. It’s pretty lame that they didn’t. I realize it’s only $2, but when you consider that Best Buy ships free and you’d have to buy 3 cards from Amazon to get the free shipping…

Rumor has it that Newegg will be offering 1 year PS Plus cards for $22 on eBay starting around 9 PST. Expect them to go quickly.

There is a banner on the Playstation website that says they’ll be offering plus for $30, limit of 2 tomorrow on Black Friday. Looks like it’ll be through the PSN store. Says while supplies last but it’s a digital subscription to a service so not sure what that means unless they’ll have an cap on how many they’ll sell. Or could just be a standard disclosure.

EU4 for $16 on GMG for another 40 mins if you use the 20% off code floating about.
That was a low enough price for me to pull the trigger.
I tried to launch Origin earlier (it was required to play Mass Effect 3, I must have forgotten to uninstall it). I was all set for the snark train, but then I found Origin wouldn’t update properly or launch at all anyway. This time I didn’t forget to uninstall it.

- you have to CLICK the version box you want…
The Secret World digital version on sale for $10 at amazon.com. After reading the glowing descriptions of it over in the TSW thread, I have been keeping an eye out. My eye can now go back to its regular duties.

Van Helsing is on sale for about $5.00. Is it any good? Or is it some really poor diablo clone that Ill get sick of in an hour or two?

More Black Friday weekend sales:
Playstation Network Europe / Australia - Magic 2014, assorted Prince of Persia games, Kane & Lynch, Call of Juarez, and a lot of random stuff.
GOG.com - 65 games 70% off, little (if any) overlap with their recent limited sale. Rollercoaster Tycoon, Tex Murphy, Guilty Gear franchises included.
Edit: That PSN sale could have been timed better. Or maybe they could have anticipated the server overload on the European PS4 release day.
Surprisingly to myself, I played through the entire game in one multiple-day go. For one play-through it’s pretty good. It has no re-play value, though. For a fiver it’s good enough in my book.

Without digging through the other thread: How is it as a single-player game? Are there monthly fees?
I got it a while ago cheap in an Amazon sale.
I played it for a couple of hours solo’ing and it was ok but not spectacular. I ended at some junkyard with a quest that was hard / impossible to solo but I recall it only being a side-quest.
I’m not a MMO freak apart from WoW for several years and I might not have been in the best mood to tackle the game at that time.
I will give it a go again in the future.
There are no monthly fees but some content packs released once in a while that cost a one-time payment. I haven’t checked them out so I can’t tell you anything about quality / length of them.
Man, the Origin store still doesn’t work. I suppose they don’t want my money.

Dead Space 3 is $9 on GamersGate today. One of my favorite games of the year.
The Secret World is an outstanding single-player game, but you do have to put up with MMO combat (which is only interesting when it is hard and with a group). A game to get if you are interested in the setting and love atmosphere.

I’m loving Amazon for sales this year. They’ve been matching the big chains, so I don’t even have to go to the stores on Black Friday. I had been planning on picking GTA V and Last of Us at Walmart’s sale, but they priced matched that.
I was going to make one other trip to Gamestop to get Killzone:Mercenary and Tales of Xilia for $19.99 each, but Amazon price matchedthose, too.
New Weekly Humble Bundle has great games in it–so great that you might already have most of them:
Jamestown
Closure
SPAZ
Shatter
Dungeon Defenders
Defense Grid Gold
The last two are for purchases of $6 or more.
Just picked up Battlefield 4 for Xbox 360 (new) from Gamestop online for $25 with free shipping.
Just Dance 2014 for all systems is only $14.99 online there as well. Call of Duty Ghosts is $44.99, and Disney Infinity figures are BOGO (so two for $14). Not bad deals on very recent games/items, especially since I can shop from home.
Couple of deals that made me sad in a nostalgic way, Pre-Owned Nintendo DS-Lite for $40, Pre-Owned Xbox 360 original with 2 wireless controllers and 20GB hard drive, $100. I remember when those were items my kids were dying for many Christmases ago. Hell, the 360 deal is almost worth buying just to get the controllers, then sell the extra console to someone for $50 and call it a day.
