Buyer beware - I bought this, it failed to redeem on PSN with an error code, and now it says the code has already been used. Seems to be an issue with PSN today as there’s a thread with folks having the same problem on the PSN+ support forum, and it’s not limited to codes purchased from Amazon. If you do buy it, hold off on trying to redeem it would be my advice ;-(

I bought it this morning and plan on redeeming it after I redeem my free month of PS+ that came with my PS4. And I’ll do THAT when Resogun is in danger of being rotated out, which might be January or February.

Without digging through the other thread: How is it as a single-player game? Are there monthly fees?

The only thing particularly multiplayer about it is the endgame stuff like raids, dungeons and lairs. Up until that point it’s as close to a high quality horror/conspiracy adventure/RPG as an MMO can get. You might find tackling some quests a little easier with friends if your build isn’t up to snuff, though.

Um, shouldn’t you try to redeem it sooner, so you can bring it up with Amazon if it doesn’t work? These memberships are supposed to stack, so it should add on to your existing membership term.

This means that Ultimate Sci-Fi bundle containing Sword of the Stars II Enhanced Edition is $2.65, which is a steal just for that game alone. The bundle also includes Really Big Sky, Planets Under Attack, Ion Assault, Data Jammers Fast Forward, SpaceChem and it’s expansion, Project Freedom and Weird Worlds Return to Infinite Space. ALL are Steam codes, and all come separate for handy re-gifting.

Also of interest is the Majestic Bundle for $3.03 which contains Majesty 2 Complete, Mount and Blade Original, Hoard Complete, Crusader Kings I Complete, Shelter, Enclave, Knights and Merchants, Rune Classic and A Forge Starter Kit. CK1 alone is worth the $3, and M&B, Majesty 2 and Hoard are all fun games as well. All Steam codes again, all separate for gifting.

The Blaze of Glory Bundle is a measly $1.86 and includes East India Company Gold, Commander : Conquest of the Americas Gold, WWIII : Black Gold, Pirates of the Black Cove Gold, WWII Panzer Claws 1 &2, and Knightshift. Again, East India Company alone is worth $2 easy, and Commander and Pirates of the Black Cove are both interesting games. I know nothing about the others. Steam codes for all.

Nah. There’s no time limit on when I’m supposed to use it. Amazon should help me even in January or February.

As for activating it now, I only own a working PS4. PS3 stopped working last year, and I don’t own a Vita. So activating the membership now wouldn’t really be a good use for getting the best value from it.

That’s strange, I have never had them do that - and I just bought The Secret World this morning as a digital download. Ah, the difference in my case is that although it was 1-click to buy and download I don’t have “1-click ordering” turned on for my account. So when I click to buy it always makes me log in with my amazon password. Maybe that’s the difference?

Steam did that on day one (unless by less than 20 you mean 15). May come back for the encore sale.
