Anniversary (remake of the original) has enough of both that I started getting sick of it midway through. I was ready to be done with the game and checked a walkthrough the instant I got stuck.

The modern Tomb Raider game has a few very simple puzzles. That’s probably the one you want unless someone can make a good argument for the other games in between that I haven’t played.

If you hate jumping puzzles stay far, far away from all but the newest Tomb Raider game.

Thanks, I’ll pass on this deal.

Carcassonne for iOS (one of the smoothest async game experiences I’ve ever played) is on sale for the first time in 3 years. 6.99 down from 9.99 I believe.

Oh, man, why are they hiding that the new Tomb Raider is $10 on Steam for the next 15 minutes! I almost missed it! I’m not 100% sure it’s going to run on my machine, so I’ve been hesitating to buy it, but this is finally a totally acceptable price to give it a try.

It was ten dollars all day yesterday too. You know, in case you get that time machine working.

Why? I hate jumping puzzles and TR certainly wasnt difficult in those parts, this is one game everyone should buy

Giaddon is stating to only get the latest TR game (because it doesn’t have tough jumping puzzles).

But if you are no fan of heights (like me), you will have some serious issues with some of the missions.

That said, I was never a TR fan and the newest TR is one of the best games I’ve played this year. Well worth it for the price.

I have a breather from work…
Steam today: Mars: War Log $4.99 -75%.
Steam midweek: DARK $13.59 -66%.
Weird unannounced find #1: The Holiday Express $2.99 -85%. It’s a toy railway christmas train simulator. NOT AN ADVENTURE GAME!
Weird unannounced find #2: Jack Keane $9.49 -5%. Worst discount evar.

It’s too late now, but I wanted to say that Tomb Raider: Anniversary jumping puzzles aren’t really that bad…nothing like any of the Mario games.

Ah yeah so he is, I need simpler english :), apologies Giaddon

We’re cool.

I always thought of the Tomb Raider jumping puzzles as exploration puzzles, rather than reaction / timing events with a dodgy camera. It’s more about trying to find a path through a room, knowing how far you can jump, lining yourself up, and making the leap. If you’re in the right place the jump is usually easy, and you hold on automatically in the later games anyway. My 65 year old mum loves older Tomb Raider games because she can take her time with it. Well, most of the time anyway. She hasn’t tried the latest game, I don’t think she’d care for all the QTEs.

That’s because it’s no Jack Keane 2.

Congratulations, sir; you’ve made me google Jack Keane. I hope you’re happy.

Ah, but have you read the Jack Keane 2 GOG reviews?

I…what is this…I don’t even…did I go on vacation or something…?

Steam today: King Arthur’s Gold $6.69 -25%. Cheaper with 4-pack. Steam page isn’t updated with discount yet. Has anyone heard of this? It’s cheaper than Jack Keane…

Steam weekend #1: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed $4.99 -75%. Cheaper with 4-pack. Free to play this weekend. If you need a Kart game on the PC, why not this one?

Steam weekend #2: There is no #2. Unless there’s one later.

Excellent start. Now google “colostrum”.

Steam Weekend Deal #2 : Omerta : City of Gangsters $9.99 -75%. Cheaper with 2-pack for $14.99.

The free weekend for Sonic Racing is definitely worth trying if you’re mildly interested in racing and enjoyed Sega games, even if you don’t think you’d buy the game. I really enjoyed driving/flying through all the tracks inspired by their old titles.

Last chance for this week’s Humble Bundle week thing. $1 (or more) for Jamestown, Shatter, and SPAZ is definitely a great deal if you somehow don’t have those already.
