I would say the first two acts of DA2 are fine for what they are, although the environments and combat are both pretty noticeably repetitive, but the third act is a train wreck of Brobdingnagian proportion (and unlike Mass Effect 3 we’re not talking the last 15 minutes here. Closer to the last 15 hours). But yeah, the other issue with it is that it’s not very good at being a sequel to the first game.

I dunno, even though the combat is better in theory, with the combos and non-mages having more active abilities rather than auto attacking most of the time, DA2 just felt less fun to play. And yeah, act 3 was a total disaster.

Oh yeah, and the UI was a mess. Between the camera and the consolization of the menus, especially the tactics one, which had a great PC-centric UI in the first one

GOG.com is having a sale again. I don’t know how long it will last. Fallout 1+2+tactics are free for the next 2 days; below it is a pick-one-of-three choice for an extra deep discount on something (I picked ‘new’, got a discount on a game I already own). At least 50% discount on the majority of titles, with daily deals etc.

You get a fully transferable key. I don’t think you can gift it on steam itself, but you can just send them the key.
