I’m waiting for Amazon to match or beat this in January when I can use one of my $5 coupons! :)
Over on Amazon they’ve got Command and Conquer: The Ultimate Collection on sale for $4.99 (Origin DRM). That’s worth it for just C&C 3 and Kane’s Wrath all by themselves, IMHO.

Hey, I have $1 in trade-in value in my GMG account from games they gave me, so it’s free! Oh, except their trade-in thing seems to not work, I get 404 every time.
DisplayFusion is $6 as a flash sale on Steam. Not a game, but highly recommended as a multi-monitor management solution. Been using it for years and it is quite awesome.

I’ve played a bit with it at work, but I’m not sure I am sold yet…why is this necessary? What do you use it for that makes it worth it to you?

Windows 8.1 has multimonitor taskbars (which I don’t even want, but I recognize that others do), and every version of windows supports multimonitor wallpaper, although again win8.1 does it better. I don’t see why buttons to switch windows to different monitors would be particularly useful. Seems like a completely unnecessary utility.
Do you get Steam keys? I might just get it for the nostalgia value of playing the original again.
I am fine with windows 8 for multi monitor support at home but at work where i have windows 7 and multiple monitors, i do use a freemium program to give me a decent windows task bar for multiple monitors (and a few other misc things).

Yah, just watched the video, it is all stuff I have already. I suppose if it combined something like Fences, then maybe.
I will admit, at work, I used this program to force a display to a projector that wasn’t going to happen without a 3rd party utility.
Just a few things I use it for:
[ul]
[li]Multi-monitor wallpaper management[/li][li]Automatic wallpaper switching - from online sources as well such as Flickr.[/li][li]Quick switching windows between monitors via customisable keyboard shortcuts[/li][li]Taskbar on all three of my monitors - with customisation of which apps show on which taskbar[/li][li]Splitting up monitors into smaller sections that Apps can snap into easily (stops the need to manually resize application windows)[/li][li]Window snapping - to edge of monitors or the split zones [/li][li]Forcing apps to open on a particular monitor[/li][li]Dragging and dropping of maximised windows - this is so second nature to me now, I forgot it was even a feature of DisplayFusion, rather than Windows.[/li][li]Allowing windows under my mouse pointer to scroll when they are not the focused app - holy shit I could not live without this now.[/li][li]Wrapping mouse movement left/right and/or top/bottom, while preventing snagging on unaligned monitors.[/li][li]Forcing child windows on the same monitor as parent app.[/li][/ul]
Basically a whole bunch of stuff that Windows has never really done well in multi-monitor environments. All in a neat package that is unintrusive and allows for a wide range of customisation in its behaviour. My understanding is Win8 does some of this stuff better than previous iterations, but I have not used it.

It’s all Origin. On the off-chance you’re referring to the very first C&C, it’s actually freeware now.

Buying it from Steam, do you have to have Steam loaded to start it? How about using it on your non-gaming machine? Do you have to install Steam to install Display Fusion? Is Display Fusion available from any other sellers?
Sorry, got no personally verifiable answers for that, I bought it directly from the DisplayFusion site ages ago. Try this link though, looks like it may answer a couple of the questions:

Tombraider is 5 USD over at Amazon. Cheapest it has ever been, I think.
That is a crazy good price for a game on many people’s short lists for the best of this year.
Very nice, I was about to post that myself… Infact I still am! :p
Tomb Raider 2013 is $5 today on Amazon, it registers on Steam.
