Indie Royale has a new Debut bundle with some interesting looking roguelikes. It’s locked at $1.99 for now. Comments/reviews I’ve seen for at least Claustrophobia, Love+ and One Way Heroics look good. All are on Greenlight.

How do DLC purchases work for Uplay games and Steam? If I buy a non-Steam version of a Uplay game, can I buy DLC through Steam? What about vice versa, can I buy Uplay versions of DLC (eg, through GMG) for a game that I bought on Steam?

Not totally sure, but when I activated my deluxe version of AC3, Steam gave me 3 keys that had to be activated in the game itself.

I would love to find the person at UBI who decided that CTRL-V wouldn’t work to enter those codes as well. I have a few choice words for that person.

Thanks, triggercut! From web searches, it looks like Steam won’t allow you to purchase DLC without owning the base game with them. However, I couldn’t find the reverse scenario that you mentioned, although my guess is that it will work.

I’m contemplating buying a key from someone with one of those Nvidia promo cards, and I believe that will be Uplay. So I wouldn’t be able to buy DLC from Steam, but I can still get them from GMG and Amazon.

Yep, I bought both because this is a great time to play games - the heat death of the last generation. Machines are working at the peak of their power and you almost can’t miss great deals on games. I am sure when I’m ready to make the generational leap there will be some kickass games waiting for me. Right now I like it right here.

That does sound good. Stop tempting me! I’m just going by historical precedent. After the 360 came out, I bought quite a few RPGs and other games for the original Xbox and the PS2, none of which I ended up playing. Not even after the PS2 emulator came out and I ripped them all to my computer.
